I have been told that the game will be played at Vidor High School @ 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. It was scheduled to be played at Nederland but that has changed. I am not sure why but encourage all Vidor Pirate soccer fans to come out and support the team.

Travis Greenway will be signing his NLI to play soccer at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi on Thursday, Feb. 5th at the VHS Gym. :) Just goes to show that football is not the only sport that can get you a college education.

I agree - several area teams have had a tough couple of weeks. Vidor is taking the next week off which I think is a good idea. They will be getting ready for district which starts on Feb. 10th. Good luck to all teams.

Once again - a very physical, intense, exciting game. Well played by both teams. The center ref was inconsistent but I don't think it made a difference. Even though the Pirates lost - it was a good game.

I don't think there is any hope for him ;) He promised me he would not get kicked out of the game tonight. We shall see.

I am curious - How many school districts in this area provide this transportation? I know Vidor does not. I will admit that when my boys were younger it was quite a challenge to make sure that they had a way to get home from practice and/or games. We had to be creative at times - i.e. carpooling. IMO you can find a way if you want to.
