  1. control is one thing, financially PNG is stepping up to the plate. Back in 06 Dodge was making a salary in the mid 90's. I know he made a lot more with camps, etc but his SLC salary was mid 90's. PNG's offering around the same, its competitive. I thought I also heard the new coach would have 2 open slots available and if he brings more it could cost one of the existing guys a job.
  2. One more thing for the record, Im not one of the ones thinking Stump ends up at PNG. If he does Id be pleasantly suprised. IMO its going to be someone thats on that list of applicants.
  3. Id bet not. If they pay him more they HAVE to pay the other two more. Just for giggles lets assume BISD matched the PNG salary to keep Craig at WB (this is hypothetical) it would be almost a 20K raise for the WB coach. that would mean BISD would be willing to pay their HS coaches an extra 60K a year between the 3, right. Do you really think that would happen?
  4. so you're telling me BISD pays Stump more than the other two HS coaches? I thought they were all payd the same salaries, is that not true? As for the other comment...i believe itll get done.
  5. 70's vs 90's Id believe a salary in the 90's is a pretty competitive salary for a HS football coach. If you had made that you wouldnt be working that console right now.
  6. hes out of png's range but he makes in the 70's at WB?? Id think a 20K a year raise is a nice bump in pay.......hell I wish the plant would give me that kind of raise.
  7. Man, what an ego. : Like I said, if it was Kountze, or WO-S, or Vidor, or LC-M, I would be all over them too. I expect to see 15 threads with at least 5 pages of replies the next time a local school doesnt release names, if its even brought up at all.
  8. when "the list" BS finally gets put to bed? I want to know who the next guy is as much as anyone else but all these conspiracy theories, ideas, rumors and bashing is getting ridiculous. Honestly, if this were anyone PNG would it generate this much attention?? I doubt it.
  9. why no mention of the Titans list?? Why is noone is throwing them under the bus through their process?
  10. LMAO, I seriously hope this is sarcasm. Ive seen it all if someone allows what people post on an internet message board decide where you would or would not want to live.
  11. **They announced at the school board meeting tonight there are 35 applicants that will be screened the week. They had 5 request to release the names and the Sup was discussing with the board if they had to release the names. They're also consulting attorneys to see if they are required to do so.** More if we find out.
  12. Take this for what its worth but a little birdie told me that the rumored 13 applicants is FALSE. I was told there were around 45-50 applicants around 75% had their masters and the rest did not but applied anyway. No names yet but look for some to be leaked probably by the end of the week if not sooner. Guess we'll eventually find out if these numbers are true. More info when we find out. **They announced at the school board meeting tonight there are 35 applicants that will be screened the week. 13. What are you talking about...I met the OL coach when they came by to recruit Charlie...he said they are loosing one person off their line...they were young and inexperienced...they'll be tougher this season! Prime example...Central OLine...they were young last season but came together! It could happen...a lot can happen in an offseason if they really want it! they may be tougher but their talent level isnt going to magically double in one off-season. Its going to take a few years of good recruiting to get the aTm O-line back to even being considered "decent"......but the athletic QB & potential talent at RB could help ease the transition. Franchione neglected that O-line and they graduated most of their talent after last season, just look at the huge drops in production from Goodson & Lane this season. aTm will feel the effects of this for at least a couple more seasons. The one positive is Sherman has some decent talent at the offensive skill positions to somewhat ease this down period.

  15. First the burnt orange would have had to offer....and for whatever the reason they didnt.

  17. sorry to be negative but Ive never liked the "new" Cardinal logo. Theres just something about it thats never grown on me.
  18. yes same guy. Lately Dugat seems interested in Texas and vice versa but is commited to UH. IMO if UT offers he'll think hard about it. If you're a big longhorn fan the premium board is the perfect Christmas present but be prepared to get yourself in trouble for being on there all the time. Shoot me an email letting me know your handle if you sign up. [email protected]. to wildcat- Great performance today by Rollison but it doesnt change anything. Heres some notes on GG for you....read closely: 1. 2nd straight state title 2. 30 game win streak 3. At least 75 TD's this season 4. Finishes 2nd all-time in total TD's 5. Single season record for passing yards - 2007 6. Career passing yards record 7. Single season completion record - 2007 8. Gatorade National Player of the Year Your talking about a kid that can be argued as the greatest QB in Texas HS history.
  19. GG may be better. He may not be but, they're a lot closer than you guys think. Watch the dang game. You'll see. I'm still trying to understand what watching the game tomorrow will do to change anyones mind?? Garrett Gilbert torched Dayton in a monsoon last year on the way to winning the state championship. Hes on the way to leading Lake Travis to another this season. His entire body of work is and will remain more impressive than Rollisons no matter what happens tomorrow. I think it will change some minds because most of the opinions here are based off never seeing Rollison play..... I guess if you're closed minded enough to think that GG is the best QB possible.... : then I'm just wasting my time with a couple of HOmers. again....it has nothing to do with being a "homer" or being "close minded". Ive seen them both play multiple times and Gilbert is the better QB. Thats isnt or shouldnt be an insult to Tyrick, hes a solid player and will likely be an excellent college player but hes not as good a QB prospect as Gilbert.

  21. K... GG is pretty good.. Great even. I just don't see how you can judge him better than Rollison. Or Rollison better than Gilbert for that matter. You have been proven wrong. time to move on. Do you even know who GG is? Apparently to you guys he is a football god. not a football God, just the best HS QB in the country.
