  1. Each year, I keep track of season records and district standings on the Texas Prep Softball webpage. It's a huge job and I can't do it alone. I have asked the coaches again to help, but I can also use your help to help me fill in the blanks for schools where I can't reach the coach, or the coach will not help me.

Anyone can type in a school's season and district standings on the "ENTRY PAGE" of each classification. From there, what is entered filters to the rest of the sheets and sorts by district and record, and an overall statewide season record.

I've done this for several years, but now I am completely retired from education and I have notified the coaches that I'm going to start stepping away from all of this work for them so I can start enjoying my retirement. It's up to them and anyone who wants to view the information to help out.

You can go to the following master web page

This is the hidden content, please
and either view and/or edit. If you edit, please leave the date and your name or initials so I know who to thank.

Thanks again to all of you and looking forward to another great year of softball. I always enjoy reading and following this forum to help me keep up with SE Texas!!

  2. I don't anyone from Nederland on the list at this time. There was a girl from Nederland on the original list, but the coach listed was an assistant coach (only head coaches who are members can nominate) so I don't know if there was a typo or not.

Looks like SE Texas is well represented again and well deserved. I know during the years that I coached and the years I hosted the A&M Consolidated tournament, the teams from SE Texas were almost always well prepared and well coached.

It's a great honor to play on this team and I coached it in 2002 and I still feel honored to have participated in the game.

I am the PA announcer at the all-star games and am looking forward to seeing the great talent perform together on the field.

  3. Go to www.txprepsoftball.net and I have posted playoff information from all conferences and the whole state. Coaches and fans are helping me keep this updated and some of you helped out during the season with the standings pages and I appreciate it.

Several coaches asked me to do this because there is not one place which carries the entire state except for the UIL page which is incomplete at times. The local newspapers are great at covering their areas, but they don't need to carry the whole state. So far its been fun to watch coaches post the information.

  4. Thanks so much for the props! I've been doing this manually for a long time, and I thought I would have more time when I retired from coaching and moved into administration, but that wasn't the case. A lot of coaches missed me doing it last year and so I learned how to use the Google spreadsheets to sort all of the information. Coaches and fans are starting to input their records and hopefully this will take off and will be a great resource for coaches and fans across the state.

  5. Hey to my friends in SE Texas! I need your help. I've created standings pages on Texas Prep Softball www.txprepsoftball.net and could use your help in keeping the records updated for your area. I may not be coaching anymore, but I'm still involved as much as I can in our great sport and anything I can do to help our teams out, I'm still doing. Read the following note that I put on the webpage today and see if you can help me out to keep the site updated.

    Thanks!

    Coach Hicks

Coaches and Fans are invited to update the standings pages on Texas Prep Softball www.txprepsoftball.net. The links to posting are on the top tabs of the home page or using the links below. You do not have to have a password to update, and you don't have to be a coach to update either. The Google Spreadsheets are only editable on the entry page where you can put your district and overall records. The Regional tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet sort the information in order for easy viewing and reference. When you enter your records, please put the date and your name so we know how current the records are.
