High scoring game, but not in the 40's.  Once again, turnovers win this game. I haven't seen Jasper, but like last Friday, Silsbee's Kicker can make a 30 yard field goal and that might be the difference.

If the snap and hold are good he can kick it further than that!

He was making 48 yarders in practice day before a game before Ike hit, Deaver's got a leg.

Just because they haven't won a game this year doesn't mean they can't beat Lumberton. Silsbee played close in all their games but unfortunately came out on the short end. Silsbee gets their act together and wins in a close one.

They had a chance to score when it was 24-17 but went from 3rd and 8 on Diboll's 18rd line to 3rd and 40. Stupid penalties kept us from scoring when we needed it.

We may have the skill positions back but at this point we are very inexperienced in the lines.

I hear ya on that one. Paulus, Moss, and Leal will be big losses but hopefully we can overcome it.

I have a feeling that we, Silsbee, have a chance to win it all this year. Having all 3 of our backs (Castle, Barnes, Johnson) with that all important 1yr experience, our offense will improve even though we are losing Donovan Harris.

Dang! Kirbyville hasn't even played 1 game in 2A and they're ranked #6. Hopefully they earn that rank.

Just curious but what schools were after Ang. She put up a lot of points in her district.

I know Lamar for sure since that's where she signed today. Not to sure about others though..

I know coaches who will not nominate players if they miss games during the season, etc.  In his case, I know it was not his attitude.

If this is the case for Deaver, that's stupid. The only games he missed were because he was out-of-town on Tennis Tourny's.

I'm not saying i agree with this, but could it be that the coach didn't nominate him because he made soccer his 2nd choice, leaving his team for these tourneys?

im still trying to pick up my jaw off the floor... i have played with deaver for 3 years and for him to not be on the 1st team is absurd...i dont see how ANYONE could not make an all-district team the plays for the texans? first team  :o :o

It wasn't necessarily a fight. It was basically a small scuffle with few punches thrown. The refs and one of our Assistant Principals broke the fight up quickly.

Central wins 7-0.. but definately gotta get Fernando to play clean.. he would be a big dent in yalls offense if he got another red card going into the Lumberton game..

7-0 Josh? Maybe you weren't at the game the first time we played them. They beat us 1-0. If we play like we did then tomorrow, it will be a good game.

In Lumberton's defense I was told that WOS was just standing around and talking, not taking the game  serious at all. From what I heard they didn't care much that they were getting scored on.
