There are many 23 or 24 year olds that are head coaches in girls high school basketball.  Age shouldn't be held against her.  The district must have felt that she is ready for the position.

And on to the world of boxing, we now we have Senators John McCain and Harry Reid wanting government to get involved to prevent another controversial Bradley/Pacquiao result from happening in the future.  Let's just let government run everything.

Nice job on your analysis there Brenham Fan.  Willis lost a lot of seniors, as last year was suppossed to be "the year" they were waiting for.  Like Mag West, they are another reload or rebuild uncertainty.  I think you have the district predicted about right.  I still think that Montgomery will defeat Brenham "one of these days".

Serves Congress right for being so concerned about MLB anyway?  A big waste of money, and for what???  Diversionary tactics to avoid accountability.  How about we put all members of Congress on trial for lying.  That's pretty much all they do since they are totally incompetent to do what they are elected to do.

It's a complete waste of money in a time when nobody has any.  But, I'm sure that every school will now try and outdo each other, despite the cost.

Poor Teasips!

I don't root for any of them.  Just a football fan.
Its a good strong district. Dayton, Crosby, Summer Creek, Kingwood Park, Barbers Hill, and Humble are all very good programs.  If i was a betting man, i say the 4 top teams as it stands now (Dayton, Summer Creek, Kingwood Park, and Crosby) . Humble hired according to sources within the HISD athletic department Offensive coordinator Charles West of Dekaney High School to be head coach of the wildcats.  He'll have his work cut out for him, as we will be the youngest we have been since i have been following Wildcat football.  We will have talent, but we will be very very young.
I would agree that the 6 teams listed will be the teams battling for the 4 spots.  I don't think this district is very strong, outside of Dayton.  I'll take Dayton, Barbers Hill, Crosby, and Summer Creek as the 4 playoff teams.  Kingwood Park will be right there also.

Anybody know of a website that has statewide standings?  I can't find anything.

Ozen girls weren't very classy against Huntsville either, pointing at the fans, etc.  I'm glad they got the major beatdown.  I'm rooting for Barbers Hill to go all the way now.

It ain't over till the fat lady sings.  It's a phrase.  And the fat lady was warming up with 3:00 minutes left.

Ozen wins it 70-61.  FINAL

No, I meant the fat lady singer, not the player.

Young lady warming up.  Ozen up by 9.  3:15 left. Edited.

Just calling it the way it is.  Ozen up 63-54 with 6 minutes left.

Ozen just blows up on another huge run.  Huntsville can't hit a free throw.  End 3rd Qtr.  Ozen leading 61-49

Ozen up 52-48.  2:26 3rd qtr.  Jones girl for Ozen just runs over people and the refs don't call anything.

Refs call a foul on Huntsville everytime they sneeze.  Hornets in major foul trouble as several starters on the bench during Ozen's 2nd Qtr run.  Ozen shot 10 free throws vs. zero for Huntsville in the 2nd qtr.  Only 6 fouls all game on Ozen.  Lots of turnovers, fast pace.  Foul trouble will be tough to overcome for Huntsville in the 2nd half.  This game was 58-57 last year.

Early Huntsville pressure created a lot of Ozen turnovers.  Ozen coming back on another run.  Ozen has now taken a 41-40 lead at the Half

Huntsville 38-26.  2nd Qtr 3:23

Huntsville was up 28-5.  Ozen just finished the quarter on a 15-0 run.  Now 28-20 Huntsville after ist Qtr.

Of course you can put a percentage on 2 teams when the games played are different.  Brenham is 79.4% and Dayton is 75.7%.  Dayton overall has gone deeper in the playoffs over the last 5 years, hence the 7 extra games.  The last 2 years of early playoff exits for Brenham has given them the overrated title.

That texasfootballratings info is some pretty cool stuff.
Which just goes to show you that Brenham is over rated... And the others get WAY more exposure than Dayton ever has...
On the flip side, Brenham only has 13 losses vs. 17 for Dayton, so the Brenham winning percentage is higher.

Are these games posted all on Tuesday?
