  1. This coming season is going to be a monster in AAA & AAAA in SE Texas! So many teams so few invitations to the dance. I think AAA will prove to be more exciting week in and week out than AAAA. Regardless, its going to be fun, fun, fun........as long as no blasted storm doesn't screw it up.

This is where we need KFDM Coop to kick in in gear. We're depending on you Coop!

    OK..heres my choice for 22-AAAA

    1) Ozen

    2) Central

    3) Nederland

    4) Dayton

    5) PNG

    6) LCM

    7) Vidor

    8) Lumberton

  2. Lumberton ISD now has the great task of rebuilding a AAAA program and finding a coach before re-alignment. This may be the last cycle for Lumberton to be in AAAA. Not too many years down the road the enrollment will be in the AAAAA range. The Raiders now must establish themselves with a proven coach. There is no time to mess around and experiment if the Raiders will grow and improve. Isn't this the same Lumberton team which has never made it to the playoffs?

  3. OCBulldog,

You make some good points on the cost of the stadiums and the declining census of the GT. You know I've seen so many sports teams come and go in my 13 years of living here. The one sport which causes the blood to run and at times to boil is high school football. Remember, we have the fans that pack the stadiums on a Friday night. What better INVESTMENT than a top notch stadium in our area.

Imagine if such a stadium was built on I-10 instead of CAN'T-AFFORD-IT PARK? That would have been a sight to see by the passing traffic on a Friday night.

  4. Oh it would be nice if at least one stadium would have field turf. No one seems to be willing to bite the financial bullet to do what needs to be done.

Oh yes you hear those complaining about taxes and the rest of the moaning, but the bottom line is that we're getting further behind the standard which teams, coaches, and fans expect.

Honestly the Golden Triangle is quickly slipping below silver to bronze.

Our stadiums in the GT are not that good. Just travel across the state and see for yourself.
