  1. Only teams in that district that could beat Smiley, Crosby, Barbers hill or King is Ozen and maybe Central. LCM has struggled in district. I have seen them all man. You are wrong on that statement and the play offs will prove it. I still like most of your comments though so I am not too mad at you.
  2. Mr. Vitale, I agree with all of your statements except the fact that Smiley is in a weak district. Last year Forest Brook went to the regional tournament out of that district and I would say the top 4 teams are better than the top 4 in 20-4A, which is your area correct? I know Ozen is way better than all of them. I am just talking about the depth of the districts. The Houston schools are hard to tell. They have a different one every year that is good. This year it happens to be Yates.
  3. Smiley is dang good though- whoever is raising them!!!
  4. Was he not out half the season? Guess he is back at full strength now!
  5. No way Huffman beats Barbers Hill at BH especially if BH already destroyed them by 30 at Huffman. Lets be serious here. BH will be in the playoffs and play Central if I am reading it right.
  6. I hated to hear about the situation that occurred between them and West-Orange Stark Friday. However, did this not occur in another game involving Silsbee and Orangefield in the play-offs several years ago? I do not think it was near as bad as the WOS incident though. I was wondering if there was a precedent set at Silsbee after that incident in regards to how they handle fighting. It will be interesting to see how they handle that this time around.
  7. I still think Kountze will be the team to beat. Anahuac will compete well in this district though. They seem to be better.
  8. Ybarra can play!! If they are having this success without him, then they might be really good upon his return. Saw him last year vs. Dayton and Nederland and he can go.
  9. Dayton will obviously be much better after they get their players. They were a play off team last year and might be again.
  10. I would say that they are being more than competitive. They are 8-4 without Ybarra and 3 of those losses were against 5A teams. Daniels had 36 against Sterling and Hamlin had 31 against Brazoswood. With Ybarra they are going to be even better.
  11. Didn't Barbers Hill pound Anahuac at Anahuac nonetheless the previous night by 27? Yet Nederland beat BH by 2 at Nederland. Told you not to jump on the Bulldog bandwagon so quick.
  12. Word is BH did not have their best player and Nederland only wins by a basket at home. Interesting- maybe we should not jump on the Bulldog bandwagon so soon.
  13. Lot of talk about this for such an early game. Seems like high hopes for Nederland as well. One key might be what football players will be missing for both teams. I do not think Nederland has any playing football. BH probably will, but they might not make playoffs in football. I think both schools are similar. Same type of players. BH has more tradition though in terms of winning in bball. When is Nederlands tournament? I always enjoy that one- small and hospitable.
  14. Both will be very good. Athletic and well coached!
  15. Good or just good by Orangefield standards?
  16. Reddog, it is the same coaching staff that beat Crosby and quite a few other teams that you are getting on. It was a mistake, but it will be made worse by people like you who want to stir it up.
  17. With a healthy Fisher, Bh would have run away with last nights game. Almost won anyways. Dayton is a good team though and will make the play offs in that other district.
  18. Carter did play for Crosby. It was Fisher from BH that was hurt, but he played and they still won.
