Kagan Angers signs his National Letter of Intent to run track at Sam Houston State University in the fall of 2014. Kagan will be a multi-event athlete for the Bearkats. Kagan has participated in the UIL 3A State Track Meet three years in a row and will compete again this year to try for a 4th consecutive year. He has competed in the 200m Dash, 4x400, 4x200, and the long jump at the state track meet.

Both athletes set new school records in their events. Kagan set the record in the 200 in the pre-lims running a 21.89 and Jay set a record for his time in the final. Jay is the record holder in the long jump as well. This will be Kagans third year in a row to go to state and Jays second. Kagan went as a freshman in the 4x400, and Kagan and Jay went last year in the 4x200 and the 4x400. Now they are each going in individual events. Big accomplishment!! Kagan is a junior this year and Jay is a sophomore.
