Adams and McCain were the only two players on that team that lost to Dallas Lincoln in the finals their freshmen year. That senior, junior and soph. class were extremely important to that title run that year.

I watched a few of their games last year. I would say they are just as legit as a group as the former group was that reeled off the state titles and appearances. Coaches around the area have the same opinion. In fact, they think this group is much deeper than the Adams, Bush, McCain group. Just not that big time star player.

Highly doubt that. They see state titles in their future. I can see some wanting to be a part of that run.

Just saw video of the so called dunk at the end. Vidor was actually applying full court pressure on the inbounds and Lumberton threw over the top of it for break away. Nothing to really get upset about. And it was more of a lay up than a dunk.

Personally, I really don't have an issue with the dunk at the end of the game. But it's kind of an unwritten rule of the game that if you are dribbling out the clock with a double digit lead and the opposing team is allowing you to do so, then you don't take a shot at the last second. Not saying this was the case here because I was not there. A little sportsmanship doesn't hurt anyone.

If Silsbee wins district, they would likely meet HJ or Huffman in 3rd round. Getting to regional round would be bold for this group.

The UIL state basketball tournaments will include finals only according to the following schedule: Friday 10:00 am Class 1A final 2:00 pm Class 3A final 7:00 pm Class 5A final Saturday 10:00 am Class 2A final 2:00 pm Class 4A final 7:00 pm Class 6A final The girls finals on March 5 & 6. Boys finals on March 12 & 13. State semi-final games will be arranged by the two schools involved (region I vs region II, region III vs region IV) State tournament ticket information will be announced soon.
