Yep. I never liked this districts covid protocol of making a team forfeit if they could not field a varsity team. Vidor having to forfeit their first district game this season was so bogus. Particularly since the week following was a week of non-district games and could have been made up then. Also, other districts are revamping schedules to avoid having teams forfeit. Why can't this district? UIL has allowed three games per week now just to try to help in these matters. I can understand the time crunch when districts are in the 2nd half of play but it makes no sense to forfeit games this early in the season when you have time to make them up. But, precedent has been made with Vidor having to forfeit a game. So teams will just have to make do when they encounter these issues.
