  1. I don't think anyone thought too much on PN-G losing this game but predicting a blowout is another thing. Montgomery is a good team. PN-G is just a little better but certainly not 3 TD's better like you predicted.
  2. GCM needs this win to keep playoff hopes alive.
  3. Hmmmm..... if the cutoffs go down, then that probably keeps Hardin DI. If they go up from last realignment, that helps Hardin go down to D2.
  4. A WO-S win gives them the out right district championship. A loss by 9 or less points coupled with a Silsbee win gives them the #2 seed. A loss by 10 or more with a Silsbee win will have the Mustangs as the #3 seed. Any loss by Silsbee will give WO-S no worse than #2 seed. HF needs a win by 10 or more to get #2 seed. A win by 9 or less coupled with a Shepherd loss gives them #3 seed. An HF loss along with a Shepherd loss gives them #3 seed. A loss along with a Shepherd win of 16 or more could fin the Horns as low as the #4 seed.
  5. Playoff seed scenario: A Silsbee win coupled with an HF win over WO-S of any amount gives Silsbee the #1 seed. A Silsbee loss could find themselves as low as the 4th seed. Just depends on the HF/WO-S result. Shepherd needs a win of 16 or more to have a chance of a higher seed than 4th if HF loses to WO-S. They have no chance at being the #1 seed.
  6. This one shocked me. Sets up basically a play in game with Colmesneil at West Hardin next Friday. Winner is in, loser season ends. Another game in which I am considering attending.
  7. Discipline or in this case, lack thereof.
  8. Very proud of Coach Todd Paine and this Kountze football team. When I saw them at their scrimmage with Hardin-Jefferson, I didn't think the Lions would make the playoffs. I was afraid injuries would do them in with only suiting up about 25 on varsity. They also didn't look all that great in the scrimmage. Now the Lions have an opportunity to really shock the area with a win against Woodville next Friday night. It's a game I am looking at attending. Congrats Kountze Lions. Keep it rolling.
