Kirbyville, Warren, Woodville are your teams to beat. Hemphill has a GOOD lefty on the mound, just don't think they can back him up.
Put the first three in a hat and pick for position.

Warriors win 18-4 in 5.
-
18-4 warriors middle of 5.
-
9-4 Warren top of 5
-
Home run by Dylan Watts (Sr.) To tie game 4-4.
-
Bottom of 5 Hickman hit two batters. Kyle Adams bunts them over for Warren. Hickman strikes out the next batter. Then Dylan Watts drives Hickman's pitch 400+ feet to the wall and cleans the bases. And in some great defensive plays and pitching from Gray. And Woodville gets shut out.
Congrats Warriors. They gave you all they had and you won. -
Should be a good test for the Warriors. Would like to see this game go 7 innings. Hopefully Buna can oblige.

Hickman is good. A good player and a good kid. But, like most at this level runs hot and cold.
I understand you picking your home team 1st. Kinda like the fans who picked the Texans over the Patriots, the heart out weighs the mind.
Woodville is 0-1 in head to head, and has never seen the Warren starting pitching, or the Warren varsity on the field or in the lineup at the same time. Woodville may have all thier pitchers back, Warren has the whole team back.
Best of luck.

Warren 80
Deweyville 58 -
Both teams are well coached that is undisputable. But Woodville graduated 5 from last years squad, and Warren is returning all varsity, most for thier 4th varisty season. Each year the team stats and wins go up. I just don't see them taking a step back.
The games will no doubt be good, better than good. This is 2A, injuries play BIG and one bad inning can turn a season. I look forward to seeing some great games played by some great kids...

After 6, 12-4 elkhart.

After a long 5TH inning and some? ???? Calls. elkhart leads 9-4
-
After 4, 2-1 Warren.
-
After 3, 2-1 Warren.
-
After 2 Warren leads 2-0.
-
0-0 after 1. Both teams leave 1 on base.
-
Good game. Warriors looked tight. Elkhart capitalized on Warren errors and their pitcher was spot on keeping Warren bats in check. Hope the weather permits game #2 should be good.

7-0 final elkhart.

Silly question. Most are, or try to be, power pitchers with workable offspeed stuff. A few have legit breaking ball or change up. The seven behind the pitcher play a big part, allowing him to pitch to contact, instead of overpower a hitter. This helps the pitcher last longer, in the game and the season. But the biggest asset to a pitcher, and the one who can make a good pitcher look great, and a great pitcher look not so good is the one behind the plate.
The set up, glove movement after a catch, framing, and even the catchers demeaner can open up or shrink the strike zone.
