Taking place today at Bulldog Stadium. I do not know how many teams are participating but I do know Beaumont United is and 3 of my kids are. I will be there as soon as I get off at 4 to go check it out.

I would like to see Houston St. Pius and the Livingston Tournament dropped from the schedule and replaced with Hardin-Jefferson and maybe another good program in the area and a more competitive tournament.

Yes #15 will be missed but I think it will make the team better because they relied on her so much in the middle that it hampered the other girls game in my opinion. I agree, there will be no shortage of guards for us. Besides the transfer from WB, #4 on JV, you could possibly see a starting 5 with no seniors next year. The height is there also, just needs to be developed like you said. I like #4 on the freshman team to be on varsity next year. That young lady plays with so much energy and understands the game pretty good for a 14 year old post player. All the pieces are there in my opinion for another 30 win season... In fairness to #15, she hasn't been the same since she injured that thumb and had to wear that cast. She couldn't grab the ball like she normally would for shots, passes and rebounds...

Soulja can tell you that I've been saying all season that missed free throws, layups and put backs would be the reason the don't make it to state and it showed it's ugly head last night. I hate to second guess coaching on here when they won 35 games prior to this loss but that is what I said with about a minute to go last night. I felt the 2 freshman (#3 & #32) should have been on the court with #15, #23 and #5. #3 (2nd leading scorer for the year) was the only one really attacking the goal off the dribble and #32 is the best post presence besides #15. All I can think is that they wanted to go with the upperclassmen leadership down the stretch. And Pearland's #2 went for 26 of their 40 points...

5 Seniors... 2 were starters, 2 came off the bench and 1 was on JV and moved up at the end of the season.

The Roys Report bracket is wrong on several games. I'd use the 2nd link that I posted in the other thread...

His bracket has a lot of errors in game matchups in 6A Region 3. I'll use the one the UIL puts out...

I don't know what bracket you are looking at by they play Humble. Humble and Pasadena Dobie played in a tiebreaker game this past Friday night and the loser has to play United. Dobie won on a buzzer beater 3, 45-42. Plus Coach Brown sent me a text saying Humble with the game time information...
