Should have spent the money years ago to expand and renovate instead of create a 3rd high school.  We would now have two pretty dominate 5A schools in Beaumont.  D3, nothing against Ozen, just remember the days when Central and West Brook games REALLY meant something.  Now it's too diluted. SFA, yea I remember the Greenies, Cougars, Buffaloes, etc.

Never should have created a 3rd high school in Beaumont anyway...

Understandable Vpbaseball, maybe we all can meet at one of the smaller yet all ready established tournaments (Anglers Quest, Get Reel, Taylors Bayou, etc.).

Also some other places I use to go before I got my boat.  The ponds at the end of Bigner Road in Beaumont are free.  Mitchell Lakes in Lumberton but you must pay to fish and you can't keep the bass. how's the fishing out there? I never personally had much luck at the Bigner ponds but I see a lot of people out there so they must be catching something. Mitchell ponds have some pretty good bass action, 5 pounder once.

There is one in PA on highway 69.  I called about it a while back and think it is $250 for the whole year for your family.

I'd prefer any launch ramp out of Rayburn.  Being that Bass-N-Bucks will be there that weekend just make sure it's not any of their launching points.

Just food for thought...you may want to put a temporary posting about the tournament under the other topic catorgories (H.S. Baseball, H.S. Football, Lamar University, etc.) for those people that don't look at the fishing forum but still have the ability to come out and fish.  I didn't look at the fishing forum for the longest cause there was never anything posted on it...

If he is so good, then does that mean that the coaching staff is that bad by not getting in more sets with a fullback or at least giving him more carries out of the spread?  Because you'll only know sissy ball (a quote from SFA 85) and don't utilize the talent properly, Central wins the season opener!  ;)

It's not a big deal to me this year fellows.  I know he has a lot to get ready for.  This will possibly be my first year buying season tickets and if I do, I don't want to be dissapointed with the on the court product. Now next summer, I'd like to see a summer camp...

I don't know if Tidwell hosted one during his first year.   I was working on my kids summer schedule which includes sports camps and noticed Lamar was not having one this year.

Noticed that Coach Knight has decided to not have a youth boys summer basketball camp at Lamar this year.  I guess he has a lot of other things to get headed in the right direction in his first off season with Lamar. [Hidden Content]

Scooter and PAM are just like the big bully in the school that picks with all the smaller kids in the school but when they meet a bully of equal size from another school, they don't have anything to say and don't show up... Central starts 2011 off with a win over PAM...

Soulja, why was a Senior starter missing?  Or are you saying he was there but just didn't play well?

Congratulations lil' cousin on the award and at SFA.  A few years from now, some of that same blood line will be hitting the fields for BISD.  So stay tuned you'll!
