2. A repost from Titanfan... L.O.V.E. disease:  The terminal disease that Mommy and Daddy or any close family member has about their kids/family member.  Little Johnny is better than so and so.  Little Johnny should be starting in front of so and so.  Little Johnny is the whole reason we are as good as we are. This is one of the first things that was said at the Under Armour combine in Houston this spring.  L.O.V.E. is the worst plague that can hit a TEAM.  The Team is always more important than the individual/player.    Champions always play as one Team because you can never win with 11 individuals. I believe it was George Teague (Dallas Cowboys) that said it. How true was that statement?
 3. Good and accurate post Titanpower...
I highly doubt that Central wins 8 straight.  IMO, that district is too competitive for that to happen.
Stay tuned Brenhamfan...
WOW!  I have to give SFA some karma for that one.  He sees the samething i see.  Central will repeat as the "Kings of 20-4A".  Close game, but Central pulls out the W with Mitchell to Mitchell combination and the 2 head monster running of Collier and Carter.

 9. Its all speculation.  It's clear cut that Dayton is at the top followed by Barbers Hill and Crosby in no particular order.  Has been that way for a while in 19.  Everyone is stating that PN-G, Nederland and Livingston are the top teams in 20.  Despite an 0-2 start just like last year,  Central is still the kings of 20 and will be till dethroned.  I don't have all the stats in front of me but besides when Dayton was in our district, Central hasn't loss to a 19 team in the playoffs in a good while.  We don't play you'll in non-district cause we are usually playing the big boys.  We will see the weekend of November 11 and 12...
 10. The best team between the districts until otherwise proven wrong goes to Dayton  ::). As for depth of the districts, it has to go to 20-4A.  There is only one team in 20-4A that I feel that doesn't have a realistic chance at making the playoffs without saying their name  :-X. 19-4A if feel has about 3 that realisticly you can say won't be there in the end.
 11. Way to go lil' cuz!  I'm praying for a healthy season at SFA.
 12. Good luck to the Bulls as they start conference play next week and travel to LaMarque to take on the Tigers!

 19.
I didn't see K. Smith #4 at all.  Did he play or even suit out?
I really don't know Soulja.  Seems like we have a bigger team.
 20.
I first want to congradulate West Brook on the Beaumont Bowl Trophy again.  This West Brook team is not the West Brook we have come to see for the past 7 years, but they got the job done when it counted.  They countered our big play with a big play of their own.  At the end, they were faced with a 4th and 5 to put the game away.  They converted on the same short pass that worked for them the entire night.  My Jags showed great effort.  I was telling 82 5a state Champs that the thing that jumped out at me was that we clearly dominated both sides of the line.  That was a good sign.  We moved the ball pretty well.  On pass plays, there was great pass protection (probably because Brook didn't blitz not 1 time).  The defensive stragedy was good.  We went with a 4 man front for most of the night.  With the exception of that big screen pass, our defense tackled well and found the ball.  This did have an old Beaumont bowl feel to it.  We need to improve on Receivers making the catch every time.  We mixed up the run and pass well. I think our play calling was suspect in the 4th quarter when we were down 2 scores with time ticking away.  All in all, I left this game feeling that we will do fine in district.  We stayed healthy, and we did get light years better from last week.  I look forward to seeing us improve a lot more in our game vs. Ball next week. West Brook will need to get a lot better if they want to compete with the LaPortes, Memorials, and the North Shores.  Lil Stump will need to present himself as more of a passing threat to take the pressure off the run game.  They are one dementional.  I look for them to find more ways to get Malone more involved in the offense.  Defensively, Brook at one point or another will need to blitz on big downs.  (ive been saying this for years now).  There are still a lot of games left as Brook seems to get it together right when it matters...  In district.  They will have some growing pains in that Katy game.  I think they'll be fine overall.  ps. (to the West Brook fan that took it uppon himself to but into my conversation on the game when walking out...  Learn the game in the game before you decide to jaw with me with the whole, Central got beat by us again.  I gave your team props, but hear me when I say, if you play any of those teams in your district like you played tonight, you'll be ran off the field.  Take the constructive criticism as a grain of salt...  No need to be an...  Well, you know)
Good an accurate post Soulja.  We started 0-2 last year to turn it around and win our district.  We will do the same this year.  I know Garrison is our FS but man if he was a WR on offense full time, I think it would help us leaps and bounds.  The other guys can't catch Roberts passes.  And Jags work on that shotgun snap, it cost us 7 points.  I think the 2 head monster running game with Collier and Carter will be just fine.
 21.

Brook wins 20-14.  Beaumont Bowl stays in the West End, but Central has more talent than Brook for the first time in years.  Brook was lucky to win that one.
Superior coaching prevails! ;)
As much as I hate to, I have to agree with you... :(
 22. Jags give up 2 big plays (kick returning, screen pass) to start season off 0-2.  Will repeat as 20-4A district champs this year!
