They have lost a lot when it comes to personnel but Coach Matthews will keep the Pirate ship afloat and headed in the right direction. I think they have one of the softer non-district schedules but will stumble against Cleer Creek. With the 5 district wins they would qualify for the 3rd playoff spot...
Wow, I didn't think my statement would get you'll going like it did this morning. I know the games still have to be played but I feel like there are 2 guarantees about 20-4A this year. 1. Nederland will make the playoffs 2. Lumberton will not make the playoffs. I say that to say I personally feel the other 6 teams, pending injuries, lucky breaks and the graduation of some players, all have a legitimate chance of making or missing the playoffs. As long as Coach Matthews is the Captain of the Pirate ship, I don't see Vidor being consistently at the bottom of this district, we have Lumberton for that...
Just showed a Lumberton player this here at work and he said they are going to prove everyone wrong this coming season. Gotta believe in my boys :)
Whatever motivation it takes utilize it... -

I only see PN-G winning 3 games this year total...Livingston, LC-M, and Lumberton. They just have a tough non-district schedule, a top heavy district in my opinion and probably are a year away from being serious threats for the district crown. PN-G faithful, don't turn your back on Faircloth... -
West Brook 2013 schedule analysis and poll

I only see West Brook winning 4 games this year total...Ozen, Chavez, Channelview and Baytown Sterling. They play in a tough district and unless they can beat either PAM or Deer Park, I don't see them making the playoffs. -
Ozen 2013 schedule analysis and poll

I only see Ozen winning 4 games this year total...Livingston, LC-M, PN-G and Lumberton. They just have a tough non-district schedule but with the 4 wins I give them, they would qualify for the 4th and final district playoff spot once again... And by the way, Ozen has the best website that I have seen among the area high schools... [Hidden Content]#! -

Coach Foreman Era At Central Begins
Alpha Wolf replied to BMTSoulja1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
understand, just enjoying the post I just think Central has a group of kids that are good in all sports and just one or two play more than one sport , that group of kids at Central Gpa's are top also (so learning new things will not be the problem) I think its Central time everybody else in 21-4a just lost great groups, but that's not to say they want be good 21-4a is always great Football
??? -
I hope I'm wrong but I don't see this one panning out and the womens basketball program taking a step backwards...
I heard they one&done in that lol
I hope we scrimmage Central again this year, so we can push them around again ;)
Smh. Ready to put stock into a scrimmage, I see. 8)
Soulja, scrimmage or not, being pushed around by Barbers Hill or anybody for that reason won't happen this year. It's a mental thing and now that the old staff is gone these boys will be fine... -

Alvin Credeur leaving Lumberton/ It's Official!
Alpha Wolf replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads

Central sophomore DB invited to Texas A&M Junior Day
Alpha Wolf replied to BMTSoulja1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Mitchell in my opinion had the most reliable hands on the team last year so unless some others step up and prove that they can consistently catch, you have to give him reps on offense. Congrats Locke and we are expecting good things from you this year. -
Any other names being thrown around. Wonder who else is going to land at Central. I know a number of GREAT coaches that have expressed interest in joing Toby in Jaguar land. He could be cherry picking from 20-4A as we speak.
I'm just glad nobody from the previous staff is on there. That way ALL the coaches should be mentally headed in the same direction and nobody secretly trying to sink the ship...
