  1. This was an UNBELIEVABLE game!!!! With 11:30 minutes left it was 21 to 17 Broncos, then the offenses erupted!!! The biggest difference in the game was 3 long passes by Friendswood, 2 for touchdowns, and one on their first possession that led to a TD. Dayton played a very very good team to the last minutes again. I do believe there is a Mustang jinx on the Broncos. More to come later.
  2. Hopefully it will be a good game whoever wins tonight... I can easily see Friendswood winning the game tonight, but scoring 31 won't be easy against the quick Dayton defense. I say it is less than 10 points either way, probably with a slight edge to Friendswood. Vegas odds would lets say have Friendswood +5 at Dayton
  3. I was off by one touchdown, but did get the over 250 yards of rushing nailed... Way to sail the Black Pearl pirates!!! Would be AWEsome to see all 8 22-4A teams win.
  4. Losing Cody is huge, but AJ could be the "hidden glorious potential". AJ will be "most of the time" the quickest "football speed" athlete on the field, and now he is touching the ball every play. He doesn't have the passing accuracy of Cody, but most of the time he will be able to get around the corner on the QB sweeps running from the spread offense. This will open up the middle for Gable to get some big gains. This Friday will be interesting... If AJ has a big game against a very good Friendswood defense, WATCH OUT 22-4A. There will be many teams in 22-4A that just won't have the speed to match up to the Bronco offense (this was the case last year as Dayton was rolling through district). The smart defensive coordinator does what WOS did, rush only 3, contain the QB and make him throw the ball to move the offense.
  5. Central at Houston Sterling Central will rebound from their loss to West Brook. Central will have too much speed and win the skills position battles. Central pulls out a win on the road. TOUPS GRAPHICS PREDICTS CENTRAL 20 HOUSTON STERLING 6 For more predictions go to... [Hidden Content]
  6. Bridge City at Lumberton The L-Train will be steaming full ahead as the Raiders dismantle the Cardinals Friday night. Look for over 300 yards passing from Lumberton in a convincing win as the Raiders will be undefeated heading into their 3rd game. 7. Kashmere at LC-M LC-M had a strong performance against a very good WOS team last week, and now they play a weaker HISD team. Look for LC-M to dominate Kashmere and get a convincing win. Kashmere finally scores a TD in the 4th quarter against the LC-M reserves to avoid a shut out. TOUPS GRAPHICS PREDICTS LC-M 35 KASHMERE 7 For more predictions go to... [Hidden Content]
  8. PN-G at Silsbee Let's see.... PN-G has zero wins and zero touchdowns, but are yet ranked in the top 20 in Region 3. Look for the PN-G offense to finally get on track in Silsbee and finally score some offensive points. The defense will slow down Silsbee enough to get the tribe their first victory. 9. Hopefully this game will be played. Waller at Nederland The Bulldgogs will finally get to see their highlights on the new jumbotron. Waller will test the Bulldogs quarterback with lots of blitzes. Nederland's defense will need a huge game to help out the offense. Look for the Bulldogs to be able to move the ball just enough to come out victorious. Nederland's defense will score once in their win. 10. Forgot to post my "prediction, but I might be right on.... Vidor at Houston Jones (Thursday) The Pirates will be steering the Black Pearl into the harbor of victory Thursday night. Look for Vidor to roll up over 250 yards of rushing offense and dominate Houston Jones. Vidor wins this going away. TOUPS GRAPHICS PREDICTS VIDOR 28 HOUSTON JONES 7 For more predictions go to [Hidden Content]
  11. GAME OF THE WEEK Friendswood at Dayton What a game this will be in Dayton. Toups Graphics sees a defensive dominated game with both teams unable to punch the ball in. The match up of the game will be the Friendswood linebackers containing Dayton's QB. If they are unable to do this look for Dayton to roll up the rushing yards between the 20's. The other key match up will be the young Dayton Bronco defensive line. If they can stop the run and apply pressure on the Friendswood QB good things will happen for Dayton. Wow... This game is tough. I can't go against my team. TOUPS GRAPHICS PREDICTS DAYTON 20 FRIENDSWOOD 14 Toups Graphics has a 10 and 4 prediction record For more predictions go to.... [Hidden Content]
  12. Thank goodness no one was killed. Many people were expecting a tropical storm so they didn't evacuate, then they are waking up to find that it mushroomed into a pretty healthy category 1 storm. I hope all the people down there are ok. God Bless
  13. Dayton is in a sustained football rich cycle... The junior high just keeps pumping up talent to the high school. From 7th grade to 12th grade their really isn't a weak bunch. The 9th and 10th graders had better size and less skill position players and speed than the 11th and 12th grade bunch. This probably explains why the freshmen team has been beaten pretty bad the first 2 games, there just wasn't a lot of speed in that grade. I have heard the 7th graders have a lot of speed and will be good, haven't heard how they did in their first game this week. The 8th grade bunch has good size and a very good running back. Dayton is lucky to have the coaches in position that just keep building a good foundation for the high school. In the last 10 years I believe that combined the junior high teams (8th A & B and 7th A & have had less than 4 losses, that would be about 356 wins and 4 losses. When you keep sending up athletes to the high school that usually have never experienced many (if any) losses it just breeds success. FYI.... The 12th graders and 11th graders were probably the richest two years back to back for Dayton when they were in 7th and 8th. This group of juniors and seniors should have a great year (if they can stay healthy...)
  14. Are they expecting power to be up by tomorrow... That's the big issue now since the weather has cleared... If there is no power by tomorrow, it is very doubtful they have school or school events.
  15. I hope everything is ok in the Triangle and that everyone is safe... Looks like yall have a lot more to worry about than football tomorrow night. Liberty county is unscathed.... They sure did cancel school early yesterday here in Dayton... The sun is coming out, and the kids are getting a beautiful day off. Good luck in getting the power back over there. Hopefully the electrical crews can get yall up and running soon. God Bless
  16. 0 and 2 and ranked.... I have a lot of students who would love to have a grading scale like that!!!
  17. Is on tonight 7 PM on ESPN classic.... I know it's not a high school football topic, but it looks like there are a lot of football fans online now... Can't wait to see all the plays in one of the greatest upsets of all time. From the highlights it looks like App. State had some quality athletes. Stay safe tomorrow if you have to travel to work or school.
  18. Will make the Reservation easily the greatest football venue in East Texas
  19. You also have to think about the "hiearchy" in BISD... Just because you combine all the schools does not gauranty success.... The school would have one of the richest talent bases in Texas, but the school politics would kill any chance for sustained success.... West Brook won state it's first year, since then ???? BISD and the administration and politics that exists within it is the largest reason why this school wouldn't have sustained success.... The same reason why PAM isn't always successful. PAISD is not much better. Just too much politics involved between the athletic program and the the administration program. It's ashame this exists, because without a doubt some of the state's best talent is found in these cities, but the politics just kill any chance for success.
  20. My mom grew up on 21st street (smartest thing she ever did was marry a man from PNG and move to Port Neches ), and is still friends with the lady who lives in the white house directly behind the scoreboard.... Anyways.... The lady who lives on 21st street says when she walks out of her door, it is still kind of scary to see the Bulldogs right in front of her face. I told her to always leave her front window unscreened, and it would be like she would have a beautiful painting in her house. The score board is very very nice!!!! The mural on the back is just AWEsome! Can't wait till the Dayton - Bulldog game... I will make sure I get some of the Dayton TD's highlights from the jumbotron, or... Will Nederland show the highlights from both teams???? Congrats Nederland on the new scoreboard.
  21. "BOJO..BOJO..BOJO..BOJO..BOJO..BOJO..BOJO..BOJO..BOJO..BOJO..BOJO..BOJO" Isn't that the sound that bears make when they are hopelessly chasing Broncos.
  22. It is unfortunate that some team in this district will get last.... I don't think it will be Vidor...
  23. THIS FRIDAY IN DAYTON.... #3 Friendswood vs #5 Dayton!!!! Should be a great game!!!
