  1. I think I know why...
  2. Smh @ this thread...
  3. I know many of y'all wanted to see this, so here.
  4. But wouldn't some players get short changed? You want 11 players both sides. Ok, cool. What do you want? 4 D linemen, 3 linebackers, 2 CB's, 2 Safeties? Offense, 1 QB, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, 1 TE, and 5 o-linemen? Ok, what do you do with teams that run 5-2 defenses? 3-4 defenses? 3-3-5? Nickel? Dime? I'm offense, you have wing-t that have No WRs... You have teams that run spread with 4 wr's, 1 rb, no TE? Still 11 on both sides? And some districts you have all spread teams. Some districts, you have majority wing-t or slot - t teams...
  5. Sounds more like small brain politics...
  6. Most of the time, they get it right. But like you said, a player with 2 receptions for the season shouldn't be on anyone's list. They goofed that one up.
  7. I agree. Last year, my Son got honorable mention, this year, First team all defense.
  8. *Roll eyes*
  9. I would really like to know why he was fired. Did he rub high profile parent with ties to the booster club the wrong way or something?
  10. A couple of WO-S kids?
  11. The teams I followed this year was Silsbee and Central. For Silsbee, it was the exact point right after the HUGE LC-M, when the personnel decision was made which allowed Silsbee to reel off like 6 or 7 straight games to take district Central, it was the huge win against the major thorn in our side, Nederland. Another favorite was me following this Newton team after they beat Silsbee and me saying this team will be a runaway freight train to state, and seeing it happen that same way.
  12. Excellent season, 'Stangs. You put up a valiant effort...
  13. Navasota administration are a 'special' bunch, I tell you. They fire this guy that brought the team from being one of the most horrible teams I've seen last year to this year, being co-district champs. What is their problem?
  14. This!! I was more impressed with C. Foster and that defense than anything... Straight punch you in the mouth next play, you get the same...
  15. Although I called it from week 1, Congrats, Newton! Played well and took over late I'm the game. Great teams do that. And that defense, I'm BEYOND impressed. That LB, Foster is my guy!
  16. He's very physical playing D and good anticipation. Thomas does too... Newton and C from last year had great feet... I think Sells and Thomas can be as good as them once the second half of district rolls around...
  17. 1. Jones last year wasn't no darn 6'6". Lol 2. Harris was NOT 6'3". Lol 3. Is there another Newton on the team? 4. Sells knew he was going to have to be one of those 'dogs' this year going in.
  18. I loved this article too. Kid was a beast at WB. Glad to see him being a great leader.
  19. THIS is what I was looking for... Thanks for that info.... Silsbee's lack of size was a concern coming into this year, I know. But I agree. The loss of the 2 dogs is probably what did it. Not too late for Silsbee to get into the championship groove...
  20. I know that it's no big deal and Silsbee basketball will move on, but I want to know what happened. Still not getting an answer. Because I know Silsbee is a better overall team than Center. Just a big surprising that they lost.
