If UT backs up a 5-7 season with a 6-6 or 7-5 season will the recruits bolt? This is a really big season for UT if they don't show big improvement they could be in big trouble. I just don't know how much of last season was coaching or was it that some of these kids weren't as good as rated coming out of high school. I know it is early but they didn't look any better yesterday.

That is a good way for the local schools to save money. When they have an athletic event they can go on setxsports and when someone flat out declares they have no chance they can stay home and save the gas money. ;D

Did you watch the spring game?  UT still has a ways to go. I think they will get there, but they still have a lot of stuff to fix before they are the UT team everyone knows and loves.

After watching yesterdays spring game, Brown and Cole realized they could start for UT right now!! ;D

I was just having fun Indian, I don't know who it will be. There is a good battle going on for the job. Gonzo is a special kid, best competitor I have ever been around, but the kids going for the job have their own strengths. LCM is a different group since Coach Crouch and his staff have taken over, the Bears will be in the hunt.

Much bigger game for PNG!  PNG is just a couple of losses away from being in serious trouble with some tough games still to play. So I will give PNG the edge in this one. They have to right the ship soon, so I think they play with more urgency and win a close one.

So if a school has a guy on their staff who they want to hire, there should be no interviews? By interviewing other coaches the school may find a coach that would be better, or they may be more sure the guy on their staff is the right guy. Having these interviews are never a waste of time for the school or the guys being interviewed even if they don't get the job. Just my opinion.

Maybe Ya'll should have sent the JV to Vidor Tuesday night! ;D ;)

I don't know if anything was wrong with him, but against LCM he started,gave up three hits and and was pulled after the first inning. I am not talking bad about the kid, he is excellent, just wondering if he had a off day.

I just saw a UT ad that states only 15% of UT grads give money back to the University. The ad also says that 50% of A&M grads give back to their University. Again this is an ad put out by UT. But then again, when a UT grad watches ESPN they are giving back to the Universitys' owner so maybe that should count as well. ;D ;)

LCM had a good showing also, I would say.

Just was having fun with you westend. WestBrook had some kids throw that looked like they could end up being good. After a rough start their pitching settled down and threw pretty well. Best of luck to ya'll and your son this season!

Read an article on Gray and he said he would like to have his mind made up by the start of his senior season, but he may not know until right before signing day. Could be a long wait on Grays' announcement.

I hope you were not dogging that kid Bronx. Zack caught 142 passes the last two seasons and more important is a great kid. Some college is going to get a football player! By the way, there are a lot of players in the NFL that didn't play Div 1 football.
