I was just going off the top of my head and completely forgot Worster!! :o But some of these young pups have no idea who some of these great backs of yesterday are!! ;D But the point is Gray made the best choice for him on what he was looking for and that is the right way to do it. Oh and my favorite player from that time was James Street!! He was to little, to slow, but just made things happen. Remind you of someone Johnny!! :D ;)

Okie State ( Barry Sanders- Thurman Thomas etc), OU ( Too many great backs to even try to list them) A&M (Dante Hall- Rodney Thomas- C Gray- C Mike) UT( Earl Campbell, C Benson J. Charles) Baylor( Walter Abercrombie) TCU ( L.T.)  These are just a few off the top of my head. If you have the talent and work hard you have the chance to be great at any school. Gray chose the school he was most happy with and I wish him nothing but the best!!

If you read my post I said LCM threw pitchers they could have won with. I also said to give the Lions credit. No one has said anything about losing on purpose, at least not me.

Which is more important? Being ready to make a run in the playoffs by having pitchers ready, or being co district champs maybe? Plus LCM threw guys they could have won with, how about you give the Lions some credit!

I not only believe it but was there and saw it. You will need pitching in the playoffs with 3 game series and it is more important to be ready. I know who pitched do you? Besides what a bulldog thinks means nothing to me!! :D

The Bears were just giving some kids who have not thrown in awhile a chance to get some work. That is taking nothing away from the Lions they played hard the whole game.

The way this has become such a big show, I don't think anyone can make the call where a kid is going until the player says it.

LCM was 7-3 last season and have been greatly improved since the arrival of Coach Crouch and his staff. So lets use the term " even more improved" instead of "will start improving":D

If they don't hire Coach T at WOS as Head Coach---Yes!!! ;D ;) At least some will!! ;D 8)

I agree Johnny!!  Glad to see Neb. and the Pelini Bros. leave losing to both UT and A&M. Glad they are gone!!

By the way, I never have said UT will suck. I think they go 8-4 and maybe even 9-3. Just not in the National Championship hunt like ya'll think!! :D

I have have been surprised before! ;) But I just think ya'll are thinking this will be quick because of the past and some recruiting guys ranking of high school players. Gilbert was the National Player of the Year, so those things don't always work out. Ya'll are talking about athletes, Fuller, Gray, Micheal, Nwachukwu, Matthews, Joeckel, Tannehill, Dustin Harris, Hunter,Miller and maybe more could have started for UT easily last year. So the talent level for athletes at A&M is not as for from UT as ya'll think.Besides athletes don't win games football players win games, and there is a difference.

I should take your word for it? ;) I don't care if A&M has better athletes as long as they keep winning. As Horn fans have told A&M fans for years this is a rivalry game so anyone can win or keep it close. :D  But the truth is on the field 9-3 and 5-7. I just believe UT has bigger problems than changing coaches, and it didn't look a lot better this spring. UT won't be down long but you guys act like everything is OK and an easy fix.

So Mack was too? ;D ;)  I think what you said was a part of it. I also think some of these top ranked recruits were not as good as predicted. You have guys like Geoff Ketchum jumping these guys from 3 stars to 4 and 5 stars just because they committed to UT. I saw where I think it was CFN went to the Big 12 spring practices and rated A&M, and Baylors athletes better than UT. I don't think Mushchamp or Davis really had your typical UT football players to work with.

Those were the same guys who won a National Championship and 10 seasons in a row of ten wins for the most part. I guess they forgot how to coach last season? ;D :D ;)
