They don't chose their players on stats either. As mentioned Gray has a much better OL and his team has more weapons besides him. They both have the ability to do great things! No one is saying Gray is not great. I am not even saying Williams is better. And anyone trying to say either one is greater right now is just doing so because they are an A&M or UT fan. Just saying both are top high school players with a chance to do great things.

Why does anyone care what a recruiting service ranks anyone? :D  Does any ranking  prove which kid will be better? To argue who is better is like people who argue which is better a BMW or a Mercedes! Both have a chance to be great! ;D There is not a college coach in the country who makes their choice on players by looking at what the recruiting gurus say!

You just watched the game through Burnt Orange glasses and I watched it through maroon ones!! A buddy of mine from North Carolina who could not care less said the same thing as me about Gray having a better OL. Gray plays on a team with a lot more weapons than just him. Dekaney is Williams pretty much the only weapon and Steeles defense is very good and was loaded to stop Williams.

I will give you the first choice and I will take the other one and be happy!!! :D  Oh, Williams and Addison will both end up at A&M. A&M just added 5- star RB Brandon Williams today who transfered from OU.  5- star QB Matt Davis graduated early and has enrolled at A&M. And Johnny Manzeil red-shirted and will be a freshman this coming season. A&M is finally getting some much needed speed added to their team. The difference I saw on TV was, Williams had people in his face just about every handoff he took and ran for 197. Gray never had a defensive player near him sometimes until he was 5 yards past the line of scrimmage. Gray has a much better OL than Williams.

Right move to keep the young man out. Hope he is better soon.

Just because you lose to  Evadale doesn't mean they prepare you for playing in a 2a district. It just means they are better than you. The purpose of my post was meant to say D'Ville needs to play teams that will prepare them for the size and speed they will play against in district, if the plan on competing in district. It was not a knock on Evadale or anyone they play.

So LCM went toe to toe with WOS in a scrimmage, do we get anything for that! ;D :D ;)

Livingston!!!They have been trying to leave since they have been in 20-4a. (And I really don't blame them, that drive for tuesday night and thurs. night games with school the next day must be terrible)

I agree LCM was the better coached team and the better conditioned team. GCM has some speed, but I don't think GCM exposed anything. LCM didn't have to make any adjustments to counter something GCM didn't use. If GCM had done something different we would have seen LCM adjust.

Remember I saw GCM play!! ;) And I have seen WOS. That 3a preseason ranked team would beat GCM!!! ;D

Not smack, Just an opinion. Deweyville would help themselves big time if they would toughen up their pre-district schedule a little. By time district rolls around, you can develop bad habits on technique and angles and such because you are just physically better than your pre-district foes. Then when district starts, you find the game is faster and the other teams players are bigger and quicker and what you have done in pre-district doesn't work. Again, please don't take this wrong, it is just an opinion , not smack talk.

Lcm had a td called back too. I thought what hurt GCM was a lack of conditioning. By half they were pretty much done. I did like the kid cbear talked about. But coaches see a kid all week and I don't assume to know why he didn't play more.

Dayton needs to move back to 20-4a! They are too good to play in a district whose playoff projected teams get run out by 20-4a teams picked to finish at the lower end of the district!! ;D ;)

The funniest thing to watch is the Monday 5 day forecast and watch how it changes everyday! Bostwick, has said on TV a 3 day forecast is pushing your luck. So lets just wait a couple of days and see. ;D

The LCM game was 26-7 with 6 seconds left in the game. LCM started a QB with no varsity experience and played another with about 5 plays worth of varsity experience. GCM has some athletes, but if Ned with a game already under its belt doesn't win big, it would surprise me. GCM has some speed, but not overall WOS speed. GCM cracked a few big plays that was about 90% of their total. Scored the first drive and with 6 seconds left in the game.

Games are played on the field with players led by coaches. Polls are written by writers on paper!! ;D I will take what I see by the players and coaches on the field everyday over what a group of writers say. ;D

Why run him more in the first non' district game when the team was up 26-7 in the 3rd quarter? Long season ahead! Don't know if you noticed he also plays Cornerback. Like another poster said, the playbook will not be really opened up until district starts. No use to show all your cards yet!

I couldn't agree more, but the statement was made that WOS has football players on a state ranked football team who are starters, who also  won state track meets. Thus, they are good at football and fast! Again not all fast guys are good at football and not all football players are fast. But I don't see very many slow ones play D1 college or NFL football! ;D But I don't know how this turned into this, so I will just get off of this thread now!! :D By the way Cezar is not just a track athlete, he is a future college football player. I assume that is who my2cents was talking about.

Can anyone from ya'lls district comprehend sentences? I didn't say LCM had speed, I said they handled WOS speed well. You can do that with schemes or other methods. And no one said every track guy is a football player. I have played at all levels with fast guys who couldn't play a lick! I simply said in answer to cbear talking about GCMs speed that LCM has scrimmaged two pretty fast teams. Good luck to ya'll Friday

,cbear4-two words for you. Reading Comprehension. :D I said if ya'll are faster than WOS your team would be one of the fastest in the state. Not the fastest but one of. Speed does not know classifacation. Watch a state meet and see if there is a big difference in times, between 4a and 3a. WOS has won 3 state track titles in a row,and yes they are football players also  and are ranked in the top 10 in football. I asked you a simple question and you come back talking trash. Also read my post I didn't pick a winner, I asked you a question. But the truth is GCM doesn't want any of WOS!! ;D
