It just amazes me at how good that program is over there. On a year when they seem to be out of contention, they find a way to win and are in the championship game again. Simply amazing. What is it that they're doing different that makes them so good....year in and year out?

I respect them.....but I hate them!

....and Bo Snelson played 3/4's of the season at QB, not RB! geez! : It really doesn't make any sense. But I said it before, and I'll say it again. If WB had made more noise in the playoffs instead of an embarrasing second round exit, then maybe C-Mike would have gotten a little more exposure and his chances of making the All-State team might have increased. Oh well, just waiting for the 2010 season.

Yes, that is more than he currrently makes at WB. All three HS Head Coaches make the same salary. And what makes you think WB would go back to losing if Stump left? We had winning programs before he got there, and I'd venture to say that we'd continue to win if he left. The coaching makes alot of difference, but it doesn't make all the difference. shorttexas1 made alot of valid points in his post. I think the biggest reason for Stump not being interested in PN-G is the fact that both of his sons are about to be entering the program, and I believe he wants to coach them. Not that a move to PN-G wouldn't be appealing, again I think he wants to try to win a state title. Let's face it, his chances for doing so are alot better at WB.

Stump has got two sons that are both about to come up through the program. BTW, they're both QB's. I dont think he would be willing to uproot and move to another town, especially since he's got the WB program pointed in the right direction. He's said that he wants to win a state championship, and, not knocking PN-G, but the talent pool just isn't there to do it at that school. He's right where he needs to be to accomplish that goal. Call me a homer if you wish, but I dont think he's looking to make a move at this point. He has been offered other HC positions at other schools around the state, and he's chosen to stay right here. BUT, if the money's right.........

Write it down and remember I'm saying this. I'm predicting West Brook to finish the regular season next year 6-4. We will make the playoffs, but wont make it past the first round. Give us another two years, and we will be preparing to make a deep run in the postseason. 6-4, that's my prediction for next year. We lost too many seniors and starters this year.....over 30 seniors I think.

Once again, this proves just how weak Region 4 is compared to Region 3.

I just came from that game! Katy is looking VERY good I left mid-way through the 4th as it looked like it was about to start pouring and I walked from home The bad thing, for everyone else in the state, is the fact that they are playing a BUNCH of underclassmen. They have one heck of a program over there, and WB is gonna get creamed by them next year. This was supposed to be a "down" year for them. Even on a "down" year, they still find themselves in another state championship. KUDOS to them and Coach Joseph, as he has done a fine job this season. They will probably win the title this year, and most likely for the next two years as well.

Congrats on your win, Lake Travis. You guys will win state. Now, where is that trash talkin' FriendswoodFan at. I really didn't expect he would show up here again. Good riddance!

Congratulations on a great season from the West Brook Bruins. Regardless of what happens next week, you guys are real champions in my book. Now, go get that state title, boys!!!!

Pay no more attention to the FW fans, as they will surely deprive us of their presence after they get it handed to'em this weekend by LT.....and then the planets will all fall back into place, and we will once again have peace and serenity. ;D

The point of the thread was to solicit predictions, and like dozens of other people, I offered mine. My description of Central having squeaked out two wins was entirely accurate, and my prediction turned out to be right. My characterization of Central's run as being pathetic was, in retrospect, wrong, and for that I do apologize to the Central players. However, my characterization of Central's fans as being pathetic was, perhaps, the single most accuarate thing I have posted on the HS Football forum. You guys have proved it time and time again! Well, that wasn't nice and probably not called for.
