Well, the latest track I just saw had it making landfall farther south near the lower GC. I would like to entertain the thought of us not evacuating at all. What do ya'll think?

I still think, based on the current models, that it's gonna make landfall near Corpus Christi. We might get some wind and rain, but nothing too serious. I'm not evacuating this time. I'm still broke from last time! >

It's my understanding that if a school played last Saturday night, they cant play before Thursday. If this is true, then if they order a mandatory evacuation for Thursday, then our potential game would be cancelled. Am I correct on this?

Do we have confirmation on the rescheduling of the West Brook/Westfield game? If so, when?

Well, it looks as though we may not get to play this game afterall.......Ike! Hopefully it wont hit near here, and we can reschedule. If not, then maybe we can take out our frustration on Aldine Eisenhower (IKE)!

I'm not going anywhere this time. I'm still broke from the money I spent on fuel and the work I missed from the last evacuation. I just dont want to miss any more HS football games than I have to. I guess we're not going to get to play Westfield. DANG! >

You know what's funny? I was in the press box last night at Durley and a couple of other press guys started talking about Ike. I told them that I didn't think Ike was really gonna be that much of a problem for the Bruins as long as we got through Westfield without any injuries. Of course, they were talking about the storm and I was talking about Aldine Eisenhower-West Brook's opponent in two weeks. I had not heard the latest about this hurricane. Boy was I suprised. The last time I heard anything about it, it was heading up the Eastern seaboard. See what happens when the cooler weather gets here and it's football time. I forget about everything else!

Exactly!! I think if the game were played over again at Durley, the outcome would be different. But, I guess we'll get to find out this year, wont we? ;D

The rankings, especially the AP, is a joke. We had the Mustangs on the ropes last year, at their house. If it weren't for a couple of questionable calls by the refs, we might have won that game. This year, it's at our house. If we show up to play our game, I think we can play with anybody in the state. Even Westfield. They are a good team, but we aren't too shabby, either! They might win, but it isn't gonna be a blowout like "the experts" are saying. They've got a very good quarterback that can run his offense. They are ranked higher, IMO, because they are a Houston area school and they get more exposure. Most of them haven't seen our offense, or defense and dont think we can play because we are from a smaller town. They should get all they want from the Bruins come Friday.

Why? We dont play North Shore till November 7.
