I've got this thing all figured out. This Ike thing, it aint so bad. ;D TWC is really making it out to be alot worse than it is, IMO. I live in Beaumont's west end, and the wind is barely blowing here, yet. The media makes this thing sound like it's gonna blow Galveston from it's hinges. I personally think it's an attempt to get more people to tune in, probably so they can sell more commercials! I realize that it hasn't even made landfall yet, but most of us that have lived here our whole lives have been through hurricanes before. We'll make it through this. I'm just trying to put a positive spin on this thing!

Not so fast there Bucko! (Lee Corso) The entire D was not pulled untill the two last drives of the game. The only changes made to the defense was the two Defensive Tackles....YeaH ??? Are you talking about the offense or defense, cowboy? Because the first team offense was pulled at the end of the third quarter. That's what I was talking about. Had C-Mike played the entire game, he might have gotten close to 200 yards. BUCKO! :-*

LOL! West Brook has an open week on the 3rd of October. Are you sure you'll play anybody? That game could happen!

Size? yes! Team speed? Yes! Depth? Not yet! GIve us about two more years, and we'll have some depth. We currently only have around 46 players on the varsity roster on Friday nights. I'd like to see somewhere in the mid 60's in a couple of years. But no, WO-S shouldn't be much of a problem!

I like it....3-0! I thought a forfeit is a 1-0 win? No, I was talking about our win/loss record. We would be 3-0! 50-7 against Ozen and 47-22 against Central.

Well, fortunately I am sitting pretty over here in the west end of town. We are 36 feet above sea level in Beaumont, and should not expect the storm surge. That's not to say that we wont have flooding from rainfall. I hope everyone has prepared for this one. It looks like it may be a while before things get back to normal. Those of you that have my number, I have a two story house with a couple of extra rooms if you need a place to shelter. Good luck! BTW, got extra gas for the generator this afternoon!

I still think it's too late for it. What they're gonna end up with is 250,000+ people on the road, going the same direction at the same time, and all having fuel issues.....just like with Rita! No thanks! I'm staying at the house. I figure I'm safer here than out on the roads.

They're not stupid, they just waited too long to give the evacuation order.

I wanna know the genious (sp) who sent the freaking buses to south texas. ....with the rest of the available funding!!! It's my understanding that there will be no evacuations provided by local governments either. Basically, we're on our own!!

Then settle down a bit, please. At this point, unless you want to spend the next 20 hours or so in a car trying to evacuate, there's probably not a whole lot we can do except prepare ourselves for a long couple of days.
