I've watched alot of Silsbee basketball over the years. I never doubt how Coach Sigler will have these kids prepared to play. Those non district game experiences come into play this time of year. Silsbee has been here before and Furr hasn't. I expect the Tigers to play their best ball of the year this weekend. Silsbee by 5 over Furr and beat Washington by 4. Washington were a favorite over the Tigers last year as well. I think we see huge games from Miller and Harris.

Not like Yates does. Furr hasn't had enough success over the years to created that traveling fan base. They have a god team for sure.

This game will be closer than most think. Center is very athletic and has a few good shooters. Washington 73 Center 65

Silsbee will need to be better than 5/19 from 3pt land. Id love to see us shoot and rebound better.

Silsbee has to get tougher on the boards and I see far to many careless turnovers. Silsbee can beat Furr and can beat Washington. They will need to play like they did the Christmas Tournament in Arkansas.

From around 2005-2014, this may have been the biggest rivalry in the state in 3A now 4A. I've attended 4 Silsbee vs HJ games. My 1st was when Silsbee lost to HJ in the Regional Finals in 2007. I saw us advance to state over Hardin Jefferson in 2008 and 2010. I also came to a Silsbee home game in 2011 when HJ had Bosha (freshman) and Prudhomme. Silsbee had DC Stallworth and Prentice Lane. Great times! RIP to all the great Silsbee and HJ members this board has had as well. Going back and forth with Stevenash was always fun.

Hardin Jefferson won't be s push over for sure. The young man down low is a monster. I think he has been on varsity all 4 years. #10 for Haj is solid as well. Clay will have his guys ready and so will Sigler. Cheers to a healthy game and Tiger win.
