Jay had a huge kickoff return for TD after a 95 yard Kendal Cleveland run. Rhone also had a big 43 yard TD run up the gut. Kelly does not beat Silsbee in '92 or '93. Silsbee was a playoff team both those years, with wins over PNG twice in '92 (27-17, 42-17, that last one coming in first round of playoffs, and those were PNG's only two losses that season) and then in '93, Silsbee also defeated WOS 20-14 at WOS (WOS destroyed BC that year). Bridge City went 3-7 and 5-5 in those years. So, those Kelly wins over BC mean nothing in the grand scheme of them beating Silsbee those two years. [/quote]

Big debate in office today. My boss who is from Orlando thinks Florida has better high school talent than Texas. When we looked at the top 10 schools in college football, Texas born players out number FL 4-1. Your thoughts?

It only counts if it's under UIL! Kellys state championships don't count if you have a 4 team playoff. That Kelly team with Dexter Hebert was good! I didn't watch their other teams. I did see Silsbee beat them a few times.

Silsbee needs to really game plan on Menard. I watched him last year ad he is a load. Could go either way. BC should be the favorite and could have more over all talent, but the heart of the Tigers prevail!

I think they may be a dark horse team no one is looking to do a whole lot. Since Stallworth is gone, they will be looking for strong senior leader.

I was thinking Newton or WOS.

I was at last years game and the Silsbee QB and Center could never get on the same page. 9 out of 10 snaps were just horrible. All low and in the dirt. I expect better this year.

Nope Santa speaks then truth. Silsbee does have a 6'1 guard to move in. His dad is a former Silsbee wideout on the 1994 team with McGuire. if one if you would just walk down and ask coach you would know.

I think Mexia or HJ will go to state. I will say I think the Tigers will make it back to Huntsville.

Silsbee has! They are loaded on both sides of the ball. The only thing that worries me is passing game. Sophomore QB hasn't settled in yet on getting the ball down field consistantly. Silsbee has a lot f ways they can beat you. Defense, special teams, and running game. Once the passing game gets going, they will be unstoppable. Onlyma few weeks left to get it together before win or go home.

That QB for HF and their TE seem to be very good. Saw some highlights last night and they look like they have some skills.

No moral victories but Silsbee maybe the best team in 21-3A for the next 3 years. It for a interesting homecoming in Tigerland. A lot of us were on the edge at halftime.
