It's not important to go 32-1 and come home early! I'd rather see them have a respectable record like 23-9 and have played quality 4A and 5A teams. Nothing against Woodville or BMT Kelly but those teams are good as HJ, Central, or some of the teams in the Sherman Tourney!

I'm willing to bet the farm that Jasper back Morresy will get T least 175 yards rushing. I think is the best back in SETX this year not named Justine Twine (QB who doesn't pass). Once Pat Reed gets his arm under control, the passing game will be lethal. Silsbee should feed Spearman the ball 20 times at least this game. Any word on Turk?

My dad told me when he played cornerback and QB at Hebert he was truck over by Bubba Smith for a 60 yard run. He said when Bubba hit him it felt like someone hit him in the chest with a bag of bricks!

I one saw Rock Cartwright in high school Bo Jackson Tecmo Bowl truck 4 players from Huntsville into the end zone on a 50 yard run. Craziest run I ever saw in person.

Twine is on pace to set a national record in rushing yards as a sophomore. If this kid keeps his grades up, and plays like this over the next two years be could be a very serious D1 recruit. I don't feel he will be a college QB but maybe. Percy Harvin type back. Would like to see what he could do if he were at a 4A or even 3A school. Is he originally from Hemphill?

FYI Silsbee had two move ins from Houston no one ever mentioned. A 6'1 guard and a 6'2 post. Both started on 5A teams last year. Sat with their uncles at the Silsbee vs Newton game. Don't think I heard anyone mention this in any other post.
