Barnes had close to 400 yards in 3 playoff games with 3 rec 200 yards 3tds vs Carthage alone. I would guess he is close to 900 yards on the season total.

Center is no push over for sure. Silsee better better be prepared for a tough game. They have some kids who can go. I remember while I was in high school we played them in the Lufkin Tourney back in 95. We beat them by like 30 or more.

Center has some solid players but I think Silsbee will be far too much.

LCM seems to have a decent team.

I have seen Yates play this year a few times. Yes they do have a very very good team. Silsbee will need to be hungry again to best them for sure. I don' think Yates has seen Devin McCain since he wasn' rherr last year.

Silsbee and Yates will be favorites to reach the Regional Finals. Silsbee has bench better than some think. I think you will see Chris Martin or Landon Tyler 1st off the bench then Tre Lowe, Decoby Jones, Adonis Thomas, and Aaron Sells. Silsbee doesn't have great size as last year but with 6'4, 6'5, 6'2, 5'7, and maybe 6'0 starting that still nice size. We will have not much size coming off the bench but once the football players get in shape we will be solid. I saw a few getting winded thus weekend. They have only had 2 full practices up to this point. Also Silsbee hasn' lost to a 5A team snd best about five 6A teams. All loses were to 6A. Center will have a tough time playing Silsbee.

Silsbee is still missing Bass who is out for the wrist injury in football.

Something you all have to remeber. The football kids have has 2 practices and the Cy Fair tourney is better than the Fort Bend tourney. I was at the game and yes they missed Barnes but North Shore will go a few rounds deep in 6A. Silsbee is still the best in 4A. Yates is solid as well and I think it will come down to those two. Silsbee could go play in the Woodville or Huntington Tourney. What good is that? Last year' team last to Wagner, FB Hightower, Alief Taylor, and Skyline. Thus year we have lost to Concordia, Wagner twice, and North Shore. What's to worry about? They have lost to 6A schools only. 6A schools have anywhere between 3000-4000 students. Now I'd be worried if we lost to Cleveland or LA Marque next week. We have Martin, Adonis, Newton, Barnes, Sells, and White who just played a playoff game 8 days ago. Give this team time to get 3 or 4 weeks together. They will be fine.

Silsbee had opportunities this morning. I was there. We missed about 15 free throws and really looked out of it st times. You can tell they do need more practices for the new kids on the team coming from football. I would like to see Devin shoot more from the outside. All in all great hustle in the 2nd half and Silsbee played very strong in sperts. Wagner #11 was very good. They shot free throws better and we had some poor decisions turning into turnoverz. We will be fine!!! Good luck tonight vs Cy Springs.
