  1. Shocker. The states that always want to prohibit people from voting tried to make sure as few people could vote as possible. Most red states HATE the Civil Rights Act because it limited their ability to stop people from voting. They’re the same ones who tried to stop the predominantly black “Pews to the Polls” movement here in Texas a couple of years ago. “Oh, we didn’t realize that prohibiting voting on Sunday afternoons would be a big deal. Our bad.” Its funny how Trump said in the SOTU that democrats can’t win a single race unless they cheat, when the simple truth is that the Rs know that they can’t win a single race in America unless they figure out a way to keep Democrat voters from voting. “Election fraud! Election fraud!” Except there’s zero proof of widespread fraud, despite years of investigation by local, state and federal authorities. Zero. “But we have to pass the SAVE Act!” Really? So the last election was stolen, too? When i hear somebody complaining about election fraud, i already know that they’re like my sister’s kids... slapping monopoly board off onto the floor while screaming and crying “you CHEATED!” But people are going to follow their Orange Daddy’s lead, no matter what. Cue somebody:”oh, yeah? How do you explain how Georgia posted 300,000,000,000 votes at 3:00 when the election was already over? CHEATIN’!!!” The Feds seized records a few months ago in GA. If they found anything, certainly Trump would be calling possible evidence “proof” and using it to sell the SAVE Act. But there’s nothing there, because it was all a big fairy tale
  2. He didn’t get played… he screwed up bigly. Either that, or the Dems are a lot smarter than him, right? Masterminding his political takedown via a virus, lol. Lucky for Trump (and unlucky for the rest of us), the uber intelligent deep state Dems (haha) after masterminding the pandemic, turned around and sent Kamala Harris out as their candidate for 2024, enduring a Trump win. So smart in ‘20, but so dumb in 2024, if your version is to be believed. Looking around right now… there’s a good argument to me made that the US and the rest of the world would be in a better place today if that guy hadn’t missed Trump in Pennsylvania. By every measurable criteria, we’re worse now than in January of 2025. That’s not “it takes time to turn a ship around, you can’t expect things to get better overnight,” it’s “he’s screwing up everything that he touches. Again.” And it’s only going to get worse once the Ds sweep back into Congress in November.
  3. I get it. Trump indisputably screwed up with his pandemic response. I don’t hold that against him too harshly-it was uncharted territory. But to act like the pandemic was actually a “deep state” conspiracy (the Plandemic) that marred Trump’s legacy and prevented him from being re-elected is horse hockey. Just own the fact that your guy fumbled the response, combined with a tone-deaf response to the BLM uprising and overall state of discontent in the US (which he was powerless to stop) led to him losing to Biden/Harris. Lucky for him the electorate has a short memory.
  4. The only person that did any raping was Trump. But that’s for another thread. But I agree… Trump should be prosecuted for Operation Warpspeed. Do you agree?
  5. [Hidden Content] Trump doing Trump things… how long until Paxton/Cornyn are at a press conference being named to a “yet to be determined position in the Trump Administration” in exchange for bowing out? Personally, I hope it’s Paxton just to see everybody flip their vote to Cornyn ‘cause their orange daddy tells them to.
  6. So you think there was no virus? Or you think the virus was real, but released as a plan to keep Trump from being re-elected? Or what about it was planned? My belief is that the disease was real, and probably created and released accidentally in China. But there’s no way that some evil group was like “we’ll create this thing, release it, kill a million plus people just so DJT doesn’t get re-elected a year from now over in America.” My opinion goes like this. Trump is a grifter by nature and masterful at marketing himself. The loyalty that he inspires from the less sophisticated among us is astounding. But he’s got zero experience as a bureaucrat, diplomat, etc… and surrounds himself with advisors whose only qualification is loyalty to Trump. He got caught with his pants down when it came time to do things for which he’s unqualified, and acted on instinct… his initial response was to do what he always does-just throw a lot of money at the situation based on his belief that having the most boldness and willingness to spend will help cause him to be successful where other people would hesitate. Except he’s wrong a lot, but those people who buy his merch will never second-guess his actions or hold him accountable when he screws up. There was no Plan in pandemic… he just fumbled in his response. And if you somehow believe that the bad guys’ plan succeeded, why give Trump another chance when he got taken out behind the woodshed the last time that things went wrong bigly? There was no crime against humanity. Diseases come and go. The only “crimes” if you want to call them that is the mountains of money we borrowed and then threw out the window…
  7. If only we’d had a leader who wasn’t powerless to stop their evil pandemic, cough cough. The pandemic was real, and handled really poorly. All of Trump’s supporters felt like he deserved another term for Operation Warpspeed before they became anti-vaxxers.
  8. Somebody else already posted (and apologized for) posting this nonsense. You realize that for these numbers to be accurate, every single person who voted for anyone other than Cornyn or Paxton would have to vote Paxton, and more than 10% of the people who voted for Cornyn less than three weeks ago would also have to switch their votes to Paxton do this to be mathematically possible. Blind allegiance over commons sense again, eh?
  9. Agreed… and based on how well it went last time, I’m not very optimistic.
  10. Stocks closed at $45,577 today… a little over a month ago it was over 50k, gas was $1/gallon cheaper, and we weren’t trying to borrow $200 billion to fund a war in Iran to prevent an imminent attack with their imaginary weapons. So much winning.
  11. Who? Trump was a horrible candidate and an even worse president. Who here thinks that the world is in better place than it was in January of 2025 the instant Trump took office? Economically, politically, militarily, etc…. By every measurable criteria other than “I’m just happy my Orange Daddy won,” Trump has been a disaster for the planet of Earth. But if you go back, the same thing happened last time (minus the wars, sex trafficking coverup, and demolition of the east wing for a ballroom). Job losses, stock market failing, debt exploding. CB tried to warn y’all, and he was right. It all came true.
  12. Who was the elite coach that won at Allen, then didn’t do so hot at Barbers Hill? Did he forget how to coach on one of those long trips down I45?
  13. Even if every single hunt vote goes to Paxton, he still wouldn’t have 57%. Your poll was a bunch of maga blowhards voting for Paxton over and over like it was American Idol. My opinion is that most hunt voters want change, but don’t want it bad enough to vote Paxton, even though they knew that Paxton actually had a chance to beat Cornyn. Like I said. The math doesn’t lie. If hunt voters stay home, Cornyn wins. If hunt voters break 50/50, Cornyn wins. Paxton has to dramatically outperform Cornyn among hunt voters to have a shot, and my opinion is that he won’t win that many votes from Hunt.
  14. Smalley is a good coach… not elite in my book at this point. To answer AAW, Joseph is elite and will be considered as such for a long time, even without a return trip to Dallas. Hickman from WOS is apparently a better coach then I expected, and a few more seasons like last year will have him moving into the elite category with Joseph. I don’t even know who’s in newton these days, but they aren’t elite. Barbray and Johnston weren’t either, but that’s a completely different subject.
  15. It’s also important to note that your poll is trash. The final results earlier this month were Cornyn 41.9, Paxton 40.7, and Hunt at 13.5, then the others. According to your poll, people who voted for Cornyn are now deciding to vote Paxton in the runoff. With Cornyn “dropping” from 41.9% to 37%… a ten percent decrease in the number of people who’ve already voted Cornyn in the primary. Like I said… If I were you, I’d edit my post to remove an obvious trash poll and either a) pretend it was a joke or b) apologize to the board for getting tricked by a fake poll.
  16. I think you’ll see something like Ashby/Ward in Texas SD 3, where “we the people” (who are actually something like 8% of the total population) will find themselves befuddled that their candidate just isn’t likable and doesn’t win.
  17. And by his handling, do you mean Trump being involved in human trafficking and raping underage girls, or him allowing too much information to be released about him being involved in human trafficking and raping underage girls? JK, jk…. I think that his handling gives the appearance of a coverup, when there’s obviously a lot of false allegations in there that hurt a lot of people. I can get why he’d want to move on, even if he’s done nothing wrong… but the country just wasn’t having it. Good answer.
  18. I’m sure that I’ve talked about plenty of things that Trump has done that I consider to be good… just not so many this term, and I don’t like the things that he’s focusing on. Ballrooms, coins with his likeness, lawsuit after lawsuit, overthrowing governments left and right, etc. Conservatives on the Supreme Court was a good thing. I like tax cuts when we can afford them, but we can’t right now. I like the easing of regulations, typically, and I’m anxious to see if American automakers can make good on making new vehicles more dependable as a result of easing emissions requirements. He used to be funny, if you have that sense of humor. I loved when he strolled over into North Korea… that was epic. I don’t hate LSU, I can’t stand their fans. I feel the same way about people who are team Trump, all the way, no matter what he says or does. When I KNOW they’d be screaming at the top of their lungs if Biden had attacked Iran, but today they’re like “just give it a few more weeks.”
  19. I asked Reagan the other day to post just a single instance in which he felt like Trump had made a mistake. For once he was silent. Not a single time has Trump been mistaken, lol.
  20. I posted this on another thread on accident. The national debt cruised by 39 trillion last week. It hit 38 Trillion back in October. In January of 2017, Trump took office vowing to “erase the debt” with tax cuts, to the cheers of what Dr Sam Parigi called “the great unwashed.” The debt was 19.9 trillion at that moment. Do you see a problem? [Hidden Content]-

  22. Ummm… why would they buy oil from us, but also pay us again “to refill it?” Oil has a global market, subject to the laws of supply and demand. When supply contracts demand is increased, driving up prices. It’s Eco 101, my man. Chanting “USA” doesn’t affect what other nations are willing to pay for our oil.
  23. Honestly, if we’re experiencing a shortage of oil, is there a better way to drive up demand than to artificially cut the price of gas?
  24. We passed $39 trillion in debt this week. One of every three dollars the federal govt spends is borrowed, and interest rates can’t come down right now. Trump gave big tax cut last year and promised to offset the cost with tariffs, but they were proven illegal, refunds are pending…. But we already slashed tax revenue. We quite simply put, can’t afford to cut any tax revenue right now. It makes even less sense then Doge checks.
