I would probably give the nod to henry, because bryon had some off the field issues and didn't play that much. I can say when he did he was a beast.
Hillguy, would you please youtube it? I would like to see the error I made.

Congratulations to both teams. Only downer was some of the Ozen fans inappropriate comments and behavior.
Ozen fans may have been inappropriate when it should have been ozen's coach. the officiating was horrible in this game. It is time for someone to address BH getting officials that live in BH. It was obvious when the official called a time out for BH when the ball was clearly in the air and about to be stolen by a ozen defender. this is not fair to the kids.
You know...I can understand frustration with officials sometimes, but please be educated in the rules of the game and OBJECTIVE to the foul count before you complain out loud. The official didn't call the time out, the BH coach did, BEFORE the ball was passed.  The ref blew the whistle right as the ball left her hands (I just reviewed it again on video tape).  Think about a football coach on the sidelines calling a timeout before the snap for FG, same deal - the ball gets kicked and might go thru the uprights, but no play.  The foul count was even for the game, even with Ozen running a press defense most of the time.  And Bronco92, the foul count was 38-20 IN DAYTONS favor that game and SOME Dayton fans still claimed robbery. BH's combo got three cheesy fouls right off the bat and had to sit out for 6 min and play with her hands tied the remainder...did you hear us complain about that (well I guess I just did, LOL)?  Complaining about and blaming officiating is easy, being objective and recognizing that bad calls go both ways isn't.  The problem with many of the Ozen fans (I was sitting right in the middle of them), was that they were saying to each other they were going to "get robbed" by the refs before the game even started...must have been drinking that purple koolaid a week before coming over. I just sat with them again during the championship game.  Same stuff ...(some) complained about EVERY call and their players were fouled every time they had the ball and many times when they didn't.  Screaming at their players that they had to steal the game back from the refs...it was embarassing and doesnt do your team, who is very talented, justice.
The ball was clearly out of the girls hand, and hillguy if you would not have had your blue googles on you would have too. It was not just that call, but it was several calls that even the other officials would look and wonder what in the world was that call. Like the call where he clearly called a charge and got to the scorers table and changed it to a block. Anyway it is over and the better team WON!!!!!! The point i am trying to make is that we have alot of officials from all over,so why do we schedule people from BH to officiate BH games (varsity). That is what i think is inappropriate.

 6. Does anyone have a list of who made this team?
 7.
You said "that won't be hard, the big east is a joke" in response to someone else saying merka would do good in the big east. I never said merka should be mvp cause he was going to TCU. I said he should have won because he was more important to his team than anyone else in the district.
It is not the Big12 or SEC where you have to play every week. I dont think it is as competitive as c-usa. I think crosby  could have lived without because that would have forced them to put the ball in hebert and scotts hand more. crosby was to dependent on merka and didn't allow the other players to show there skills. I see the same thing happening with the two twins on the freshman team. Let those two play some defense. Don't limit them they are your best players and half the game there not participating on the field. The same with scott & hebert over half the game they are just watching merka. NO GOOD
 8.
Skill positions are nice to talk about but the issue next year will not be the QB. O-LINE / D-LINE is the bigger issue. JV has some potentials but "studs" no. Anyway Im sure Stewart and co will address this and the BRONX will be ready to bring da wood next year. Thanks for another fun ride this season and counting down till next year. ;D
I think the d-line will be ok. Charles had a great year and we all are forgetting about burks. he got hurt the first game against elkins. The o-line will need some help, but with the experience ubre got this and the jr's we got returning I think we will be ok. that JV team had some good linemen also. We just need to play another non-district schedule like we did this year and it will help us grow up fast. We just need some one to step up and be a leader on the field.
 9.
Idk if anyone else is going to college from crosby. You would have to ask some of their fans. I find it interesting that you are bashing merka playing the big east when wright is gonna play in CUSA. Lol
Not bashing him are the big east. I was just saying that just because he is going to tcu doesn't automatically gives him mvp of the district. D1 is D1 to me. Good luck to merka and who ever else is going to play ball, reguardless if it is D1, D2, or Jr. college, represent 19-4a well.
 10.
Big east might be a joke but atleast merka will be PLAYING D1 FBS football. Which dayton players from this years team are gonna be doin that? Get off Merka he is the best football player in the district that's why he has a scholarship to TCU. We can argue all day who should have won mvp. Fact is it don't really matter. Merka won't even remember this after they are winnig BCS bowls at TCU.
Wright (MVP) is going to SMU, Boothe to Rice, Baldwin and Ripkowski undecided. Now who else besides Merka is even goin to college on crosby's team?
 11.
Dayton was 7-49 before Coach Stewart got there.
Like i said in between hughes and stewart they did have a slump.89-90 played in playoffs against ce king. 90-91 only lost 1 district game, co-district champs, so those two years alone under hughes was better than 7-49.
 12.
Off Player of the Year-n break Jakari Delasober, Dayton? Thats a joke kid didn't even a 1000 yards of offense it's official theirs some jealousy in this district. For 2 years the best player on the field has been Merka period, and 2 years he hasn't go the recognition he deserves, hay but it's ok when he's killing the Big East on Saturday's all will be forgiven.
That want be hard. Big East is a joke.
 13.
A lot of people who haven't actually played for Coach Stewart, don't understand how good of a coach he actually is! Every year we play to be honest were never the biggest, fastest, or strongest overall team on the field. Dayton is a very well coached program. Coach gets every bit of talent out of the 11 men he has on the field. The comment B.M.F made about Coach Stewart putting Dayton on the map is completely true. Basically we were a joke before this man arrived. Soo I would say when he decides to retire Jerry Stewart Statue at the least, and I would even second the motion for Jerry Stewart Stadium Booooooooooom!!!
I don't know about Dayton being a joke. Dayton has all ways had a good football team. I think a few years in between stewart and hughes they were not good, but that was about the only time i can remember not winning or competing for the district title.
 14.
WOW!!!!  Just like I said… Merka gets screwed because he plays for Crosby.  The kid is going to TCU and the best he can make is 2nd team!!!!     COME ON!!!  AND DAYTON WINNING ALMOST ALL THE SUPERS!!!!! Off Player of the Year- Jakari Delasbour???? DONT GET ME WRONG HE IS A GREAT PLAYER BUT DIDEN'T HE MISS LIKE 3 GAMES IN DISTRICT?????? WOW!!!   I CANT BELIEVE THIS!!!!   I AM SURE FLANIGAN PUT HIM UP BUT THE COACHES VOTED FOR ANOTHER PLAYER BECAUSE HE PLAYS FOR CROSBY!!  THEY GOT TO BE IDIOTS!!!  COACHES ARE SUPOST TO BE FOR THE KIDS, AND I AM SURE ALL THEY SEE IS THE SCHOOL ON THE FRONT!!!! SHAME ON YOU COACHES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just goes to show you, there IS A VENDETTA AGINST CROSBY!!!
What does going to TCU have to do with anything? So, just give him the award because he is going to TCU. I don't think so. Merka had a better year last year than this year. The way he performed on the field is why he was voted 2nd team. To have the ball in his hands every snap and not lead his team to a victory in the last three games and should have lost 4 in a row, that is not MVP. I think he got what he deserves. I don't think the coaches will not vote for a player just because he plays for crosby. That is ridiculous. Why doeeveryone think the coaches are against the crosby players? I think this is just crosby's fans making an excuse. I think Wright is well deserving of this award and everyone else that was put on these teams. Good job coaches.
 15.
Pat Barret?? Man that dude couldn't have been any good. He's asleep 20 ft. away from me in the control room chair!  :D :D I don't dare wake him up and show him cause he might get the big head!! :D :D Don't know if they would have won state, but if Big Stu was there you can be rest assured, they would have played to their full potential.
Tell him pink said wake his azzzzz up.
 16. Do you think the 89-90 or the 90-91 Dayton Broncos would have won it all under Coach Stewart? These two teams may have been the most talented teams to come through Dayton, I think. I know some of you may not agree, but these two teams had 22 starters(11 def. & 11 off). 89-90 team: Ivory Durio, Ricky Wells, Doyle Terrel, JB Lofton, George (Skip) Gorman, Freddy Carter, Pat Barret, Barry Pruitt, Reggie Robinson, and the list can go on. 90-91 team:George (Skip) Gorman, Freddy Carter, Pat Barret, Barry Pruitt, Reggie Robinson, Simone Pearson, Kendall Elliot, and alot of the players from the year before. Coach Hughes was ok, but I don't think know where near Coach Stewarts level. This question has been discussed amongst my friends and I alot and I would just like to get other Dayton fans input on this.

All of our secondary are very disciplined and are capable of intercepting at any time.  ;D ;D Go Broncos.
I agree, if lm rb is out they will try and air it out and our boys will have a fild day. If he does play "and i just dont see him at 100% after all the talk about that ankle" it is going to be some old fashion smash mouth pigskin. Im excited just thinking about it.
Perhaps but don't think all is lost with our running game if TW doesn't play or is hampered by his injury. Although Alridge doesn't get the touches that TW does he is a quick and scrappy back who's averaging about 7.5 ypc. and although he's only 5'5 he'd rather run into you rather than around you. It will be quite interesting how things play out come Sat.
DAY had the same thing week 9 when the starting RB went down and the run game hasnt missed a beat with McBride the back-up. Still nice to have a 1-2 punch in the backfield. The run game starts with the Oline and from what I hear LM has got a good oline. If you can come out and dink n dunk with the pass game it will open up the run too. Gonna be a great game ;D
i have heard alot about Lamarque and there offense. what about how there defense will match up against herrea, fowler, mcbride, baldwin, and company?
 18.

Season at a glance: The season started off with almost a complete new coaching staff.  A completely different offense was installed.  22 or 23 of the Eagles are underclassmen.  Three quality, but very different QB's fighting for #1 spot.  The pre-season pick for QB was overshadowed by excellent play from K. Denny who is a freshman and new to BH schools.  His dad is the new baseball coach taking over for long-time coach Gill Staulbaum. Receivers moved from the spread to running back and a few new ones stepped in.  Defensive leadership was found in Senior Bellard, and Senior safety Morton made a name for himself on both offense and defense.  Morton brought back memories of the Mason Fisher high-flying catches many of us remember.  The defense started off a little slow, however after getting a "beating" (as Coach Gage Put it) they played very good defense and allowed very few points the next several games.  Offensively they started out rusty, but still managed to beat Nederland, and ended up with only 1 district loss and captured 2nd place in district.  Should have won their first playoff game, but turnovers and a few really bad penalties kept them down, as had happened in the Dayton game.  A 3rd and inches play-call did not help matters either, but we all wished we had something back. Overall the team exceeded expectations by most. The future is bright for Bh with 22 or 23 returning next season, with most key players returning.  There are a number of players expected to step-up in the varsity role and a lot of very young kids who are already there.  I assume the offense will gain complexity as the kids get used to the basics and we will see more pass/run balance as the kids develop.  Experience, talent, and quality coaching should take the Eagles well into the playoffs next season.  The kids have really taken to this new staff and the staff seems to really be interested in the kids.  As it often is in Region III, just depend on who you draw and who wants it more.  Exciting times on the "Ant Mound"......."Bump"........"Hill".....or whatever you want to call us.
Well said JJ....very impressed w/ what Gage has done in 1st year. Equally impressed w/ how the kids responded to new coaches and change. Where are all the outsiders that thought BH was stupid getting rid of Price ?
Gage still has not done anything Price did. So, I am still not impressed. All you gage supporters will realize the mistake you made by getting rid of a coach like coach price. That is the problem  in BH, the fans run the athletic program. What I mean by that is, the best players don'y play but players who parents have the most money plays. That will never happen over here in Jerry's Program. Thats why we will put another 54-0 Whoooooopin on the hill next year for coach Price again. I don't have time to talk about this any more. We have more important issues to deal with like kp this saturday. So tell gage to come get a seat and learn what a 21 century offense looks like and not a ice age one.
