no, any team that loses to huntington does not deserve playoffs........my boys up here in coldspring will hang 60+ on em...Liberty's wins are against Porter, who has lost all but one game, shepherd who is 0 fer, and tarkington who has one win....if shepherd does not fumble they beat liberty
Also I heard it was Porters JV team that they played. We all need to realize until Liberty runs Deel out of town they want do anything. They have some talent, but coaching is ridiculous. Hell, sometime they dont even know where to line up and this is your varsity team. So, for everyones sake lets hope they don't make it to the playoffs to get runover by someone WO. Please get rid of Deel and lets get it right next year.

Look at are non-district schedule and then look at yalls. We played Lamar, Lamar Consol. Yall played Jones and Crosby and they put up 30 on yall. We'll see how it goes down on the new carpet tomorrow.
Already...  Our 2nd string has played alot.
does anyone know where i can find the houston area rankings?

The only team they will shut out will be Dayton, but look at the bright side y’all can still make the playoffs after a loss to Crosby.
This is actually really funny. Thanks for making my day man.
does anyone know where dayton is ranked in the houston area or where i can find the houston area rankings?
 4.
Needs to build a 6th junior high school out by GCM somewhere. They could then designate two junior highs for each high school. This willy nilly system they have now puts all of the high schools three years behind. It's like the USA basketball team trying to get a team together and compete against those other national teams that have been playing together since they were 12.  They could have the new junior high and Highlands go to GCM.  Baytown Junior and Gentry go to Sterling and Horace Mann and Cedar Bayou go to Lee. I've never understood the logic behind having a little bit from each junior high go to each of the high schools.  They gain nothing by doing that.  They lose three years of being able to learn one system in sports. Let's assume Gentry has a good 8A team this year.  Does it really matter in the long run?  Out of the 30(hypothetically) on the team, 10 of them are going to GCM, 15 are going to Sterling and 5 are going to Lee.   So, you just have to start all over in 9th grade. It's the same way with every junior high.  25% go to one high school, 15% goes to another and 60% goes to another.  Play with the percentages all you like as I am just guessing.  And Lee would probably lose out the biggest in this system, because Horace Mann is not a factory for good athletes.  Doesn't matter.  I would rather someone in Baytown have a chance to build a good athletic program.
Quit complaining. Get a coach over there that can turn things around. you have alot more kids to choose from than any one else in the district. I have not seen GCM this year but lee had some talent(QB,WR). Just did not know how to use it.

 6.
This poll isn't based on wat u did last year or the year before its based on this year. And right now dayton doesn't belong anywhere near this poll. I'm not takin anything away from them they r a great team and can't wait to see their matchup aginst brenham, but based on their performence this year there r teams that deserve the spot more than dayton. Now a team that does deserve to be in this poll is coldspring. They only have 1 loss to the number 4 team in the state kirbyville.
the only lost dayton has to a 4a team is angelton. i think angelton was ranked in the top 10 at the time. now that dayton is playing 4a teams, and not 5a, they're destroying people. we will continue to fly under the radar and beat people by 30 and 40 points until we get the respect we deserve.
 7.
Dayton doesn't get any love?? If you will notice that all those teams in the top 10 are either undefeated or just has the 1 loss. Don't see any 3-3 teams ranked. ;)
yeah i noticed, but i also noticed only a couple of those teams have played the schedule Dayton has. The pass 2-3 years have been the same way and we are playing for the state championship or we are a game away.
 8.
Lowoods?? I have never heard of that town. I even checked a map, no Lowoods.
Come to Dayton it is not hard to find.

Good teams will beat us 3 rounds into the palyoffs if we are still turning the ball over. But yes, We are all around solid and probably will not loose in District.
Correction*  It would be round 2, not round 3.
You might be in for a surprise and find yourself on the bad side of 2 out of 3.  But by all means.....keep talking.
I'm just saying that the round 2 game, would likely be harder than the round 3 game for either team.  (not that were gonna dominate or anything) I will keep talking though, but i'm waiting till I see name Dayton next to ours in the playoff bracket.
You keep forgetting that you guys are going to go on a losing streak and end up on the other side of the bracket...How many times do I have to tell you this?
It's possible...
13. I think everyone better start to take notice of the Dayton Broncos. They played a tough non distric schedule and really should have won all three games. Dayton is starting to come together and really be a solid team. The play calling is a lil suspect at times but with the athletes they tend over come that. This maybe one of the best all around teams Coach Stewart has had. Again I said all around. They are pretty solid at every position.
