LCM has since had male mascots.  When the first "attack" happened...everyone thought it was staged. But when the Indian came back across the field...it was clear there was a problem.  I have always enjoyed the Indian Spirit but he should have respected our field and not come across the second time.  Granted the Bear should not have tackled...maybe a small push down would have been ok. :) (That is a joke to the sensitive Indians) I have read where the Indian Spirit that year was a good kid...the Bear was too.  I think they got caught up in the emotions of the night. Their actions that night made this "Friday Night Fight" legendary here in SETX when PNG/LCM go head to head. Not one game goes by where this night is not brought up.

When Dustin was crowned Friday night, it brought tears to most ! He was so pumped up about being named King -- he was a Rockstar!!  Kudos to the student body and Bear football players for thinking outside of the box and making homecoming night very special Dustin and for ALL who were there to appreciate the excitement of "The King" :).  Made me proud to be a Bear!!!!

Deep East Texas Chapter (the TASO group) - I believe they service majority of schools in the area so if you are wanting to work games ....they would be the better choice.

All will be right with the world when season gets here and our first Friday night game is upon us!!! But football being the top forum now will get us by until then!!!!!

What were you wanting to discuss Poker Star?? There have been several discussions on this board and they have not been deleted.  When the conversations stray way off the topic or become personal, the moderator steps in.  I did however hear there was a topic re: sports officiating posted a little while back but it did not stay on here very long.  I believe it was a topic re: the two chapters operating in the area which is a very sensitive subject for some. Now, I believe the person who saw the topic on here but not sure why it is no longer on here unless it was totally inappropriate.  If you are thinking of coming back to officiating, this site should not be your deciding factor.  Come back because you enjoy the sport...not by what others say on this board.  :)  We could use more officials!
