As for the person who was doubting WOS speed, well, that's just humorous... ;) ;D
Well i'll just let the 2 40+ yard TD's speak for itself  ::)  ;D
Vidor you just need to be worrying about getting that garbage defense together. Somebody spot you 17 points and run a ball control offense and come back to beat you shows that nothing has changed there. You all need to only be concerned with not coming in last in 20-4a not with WO-s.
I like what coach thompson is trying to do with his mustangs. The part i like is that wo-s can run both at any given time and that i like and drives the other coaches nuts. After talking one of the players parents ,he said the kids love it so i will stick with the kids. The big problem the mustangs face this friday with Nederland is that the mustangs have some key players hurt and playing agenst a large team is not new to the coaching staff are the kids there at wo-s dont you agree.ok now  for the winner of this game is wo-s by 3 points. PS sorry for the spelling before you jump on me
Somebody's parent lied to you because I know for a fact most of the kids hate the I. They might like the pistol, but just like most fans, they wish to throw the I out.
 3.
Good news for the Mustangs.....GREAT NEWS for Daniel! When I was in high school a good buddy of mine who was on JV tore an ACL and had to have reconstructive surgery.  I remember him having constant pain and barely able to walk during most of his recovery period.  I don't wish that on any man or woman and that Daniel will be able to avoid all of that is great even if for some reason he doesn't play a down at all this year.
Yea, that's a very devastating injury to have. Happy for Daniel, he's a good kid.
 4. Great news!! Daniel Woodson went to the doctor and what was thought to be a torn Acl, turned out to be an ACL strain. If he does everything he needs to do, he could be ready to play in a week or two.
 5. Just got word that Daniel Woodson is out for the season with a torn ACL. Could possibly be back if we go deep into the playoffs. We have other good players to fill in,  but he's a heck of a player. The bright side of it, he's a junior so he can rehab and come back next year.
 6.

I think both teams played their first team the whole night.
Thanks.  You said that they were banged up, I know you are probably getting texts about it, but any serious injuries or just folks a little banged up?
Yes unfortunately I hear Linebacker Woodson tore his ACL.
 7. Unfortunately I hear WO-S got pretty banged up in this game. Several players got hurt. Colin Janice didn't play.
 8. The last update I got it was 17-10. WO-s didn't start scoring until they went to the spread. Coaches need to realize that this is the offense these kids are comfortable with...they hate the I.
 9.
Well, I sat and watched him break a 70 yd run on WO-S and wasn't caught. Go look up the last time a player broke a run like that and didn't get caught. Even Brandon Williams was caught last yr when he broke. There was no doubt when Sezar broke, he wasn't getting caught. Granted, Thomas wasn't on the field, but Colbert and De' De' were...
Colbert and DE De don't have the speed that JT have. Sezar finished 3 rd or 4th behind WO-s players in the 100 meters last year. He is fast, but he isn't the fastest man on the field if JT is there.
 10.
One of Grad's Life Formula's" The amount of belief a person has that politics is involved in selection of who plays and doesn't play in high school sports is directly proportional to the time their little Johnny or Jane sits on the bench.
I don't have no little johnny or jane sitting the bench, so your definately wrong about me. I'm looking at this totally unbiased, but I know what I see and any honest person would admit it too. The ones who's in denial about it are probably the coaches that do it or friends of coaches who promote their kids when they don't deserve it.
 11. Sad. I don't know why people always want to jump in the river. Any river is very dangerous. Like someone said there are a lot of dropoffs and undercurrents that even the best swimmers can't overcome.
 12.
Isn't it always politics if your kid doesn't get the playing time a parent would like?  I like the "all the other players know" he's the best player reasoning.  Assuming you are referring to high school football and not little league football where the head coaches' son almost always gets to play quarterback and rightfully so if his dad gives up his time to coach.  You are setting this up to be a disgruntled parent page.
Are you kidding me with this comment? Even if the coaches son is sorry and there is a player better than him he deserves to be the QB because his dad gave up his time? You just proved his point. That is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard. Daddy didn't have to give up his time, maybe he should have used that time to practice with his son one on one so he could ligitimately get that spot. Yes, there is a lot of politics in sports and no I don't have a kid that plays, but I've seen it.
 13. This computer rating is just as dumb as the one that they use to determine the BCS championship...a complete mess.
 14.
good kickers are very hard to find.
Good kickers are hard to find, but all we need is a decent kicker who can make extra points. We have never gone for many fieldgoals in WO-s existence, but with this type of offense we need extra points.
 15.
Proud, the young man who kicked last night was a freshman. He is actually a very good kicker. I think once he gets past the pressure of being on varsity you will see what he can really do.
I can see that he have a strong leg, just was wide left. I'm glad they are atleast trying kickers while they are still young so he will be really developed by the time he's a junior or senior. I can't stand the fact that we have been taking kids off the soccer team when they are juniors or seniors and then the very next year, you don't have a kicker.
 16. Sorry, the player I'm talking about is a Sophmore. I think we are talking about the same person.
 17. Speaking of Kicking. WO-S needs a lot of work in that area. Playing a slow down game where there probably won't be much scoring and not having a fieldgoal kicker again. *shakes head* I don't know why we can't seem to develop kickers. It needs to be a priority because with this type of offense and you can't make an extra point and have to depend on two point conversions over and over again spells a loss. Punting didn't look any better last night.
 18. One more thing, #10 Haden Reed for LCM is a very good player. He will make a lot of plays this year. Colin Janice #21 for WO-S did get hurt late in the game. It looked like a cramp from where I was sitting, but I'm not sure about that. I don't like the I formation, particularly against a big defensive line. We had some success running it, but as I said before we looked better running the pistol and the spread last night. All I can say is WO-s fans don't come to the games expecting the excitement on offense that we are use to. Many people looked bored out their minds last night and didn't like the I at all. If it works and we go to state with it, that will make people happy, but it's not exciting to watch.
 19. Yea, Justin, Britton and one of there other key players didn't dress out. Don't know why. Both teams looked pretty good. I think WO-s look its best when they are in the pistol formation and of course, the times they ran out of the spread. The I formation, they are behind in that area. Colin Janice and Quinton Tezeno ran really well at running back. The Rhodes kid looked really good at back up QB. He actually looked better than Salter the starter. It's hard to evaluate this scrimmage because it wasn't a game condition scrimmage for four quarters. In the two quarters of game type situation that they played, WO-s pretty much dominated defensively. I think LCM had one first down. LCM back up QB is really good, their line is huge. They had twice as many players as WO-S so there shouldn't be any reason with LCm size that they aren't dominating teams.
 20.
I'm not going to post his name, but he played for WOS in the STJFL League. He was a very special player. His dad moved to Beaumont and he moved with him and he played his Middle School ball there in Beaumont. He is now a Sophomor If your talking about the same person I'm thinking, he's going into his junior year. He ran track and he came in third in the Ozen track meet behind two WO-s runners in the 200 meters. He's the cousin I my two nephews.
 21. I've been hearing that Coach Crouch doesn't want the scrimmage with WO-S to be a game condition scrimmage. Each team is going to run a certain amount of plays, then they will play two quarters.
