Will West Hardin be able to play with Hull-Daisetta?
I think West Hardin's team is focused. And they looked good Friday. They will be able to play with any opponent they face.  Not sure that H-D is a major concern at this point.
No secret your not from WH or H-D. WH is always a concern for H-D. Heated rivalry, biggest game of the year !!  ???
I understand there is a heated rivalry there.. But there are alot of games before the concern of H-D comes along. They are focused on the task at hand. One step at a time to achieve a goal.

I was at the scrimmage West Hardin scored 3 td's but one was called back and Burkeville scored 1.. Sorry that the Stilwell boy broke his arm. They all played a great game and West Hardin looked good.

Thanks for the update. Is burkeville still running the wishbone or have they changed it up with the new coach.

wasn't the wishbone but they played hard !!

Went to a couple Hardin practices, they are small and very young. The only way I could tell the difference in JV and varsity was the colors of their jerseys, then I still had to look at faces to determine which was which. Could be a long year, but I assure you they'll give it all they got, especially against HD. Always has been a good rivalry.

Players may be small but Hardin has the depth to keep everyone fresh. H-D doesn't have the numbers to back that.

Not 2 counties but growing up and going to HD to watch Gene Walker I remember way back walking blocks to get to the stadium that was already full and 6 rows deep around the track standing room ;)

I myself have witnessed this, but i can say although West Hardin and H-D can't fill a stadium like lumberton and Silsbee doesn't mean the emotions aren't there . This is a most heated event two small schools. I think for most of the kids on Varsity this started in Pee Wee League.
  6. In my experience, the best coaches are not the ones with the most wins but the ones with the most respect. West Hardin's Coaching staff is new but have earned the respect of the students as well as the parents. Jason Henry and his staff have taken on many roles this past year; Mentors, Coaches, Friends and Teacher.  So proud of the West Hardin Organization .  ;D
