1. Having a freshman at Ozen this year I have seen first hand what is going on. They have quite a bit of talent on the roster. The biggest issue I have seen is the old adage of not having an I in team. If you have watched then at all this year that has been an issue. Hopefully the staff can get this part fixed. Something else that would be a big help would be more help from the middle schools. Ozen is a place where students can go an thrive with the right coaching and not get lost like they will at WB of Central. I'm a bruin but WB has gotten way to big and kids get lost. Not sure about what's going on at Central. Ozen is in a great spot to really make a push over the next 3 or 4 years if they get the support they deserve and need. Nice right up.
2. I will say again, there is nothing illegal with anyone filming coaches or players at a public event. If the school district property is considered private property, then it would be up to the school district to establish rules.......

So, if you want, you can get your camera and film him filming you.........nothing illegal.

This is one link......there are several that say the same thing.

Actually it does fall under an infringement of personal space... lol....

3. Being a safety kind of guy the biggest issue I have seen from all of this nonsense happens when a team get tot the threshold and the team makes the changes to keep from scoring or running up the score. You put in the kids that are not as good but the team your playing is still headhunting with their first team kids... This is why my own son is still out with a concussion. Something has to be done in order to keep the kids safe. I have played and coached football a long time and know how violent it is. We are setting ourselves up for bigger problems down the road unless something it corrected.

We also need to address the helmet to helmet hits. Had more than 3 or 4 yesterday in one of our games... These are going to happen but the officials need to make the call. I spoke with the ones that were calling our game yesterday since I also our Heads Up Football Safety Coach. All 3 of them had a different interpretation of that rule. This has to be fixed...

4. Bmt will be just fine. We will surely miss our Head Coach but the rest of us know what we are doing..... It going to be a good game either way.... We as coaches are just going to have to do what we do... These kids have quite a bit of motivation after last week. One of the things I love about kids is the way they can turn any situation around....

5. Firstly he was playing CB not RB went make a tackle and was hit helmet to helmet by a kid twice his size on the opening possession of the second half. The kid that hit him lowered his head and hit him square in the face mask with the crown of his helmet. It happened right in front of me. Secondly it is my son that was injured. Out for at least 2 weeks with a concussion. He is a tough kid. He got up and went right back to his position for the next play. Our DC noticed something did not look right with him and pulled him. I checked him and then went from Dad/Coach to Paramedic. We spent 6 hours in the ER. He will be fine but is now questioning even wanting to play. Is this what u want such a great sport to be seen as. Having played football from 8th grade and on into college myself this is not what I was taught. And making our coaches out like some of you have been sure as heck don't know them like I do.
6. So let me get this straight BMT was up 33-0 and at the end of the game (to get thier 2 nd strings qb some confidance back after getting sacked a few times) threw a screen pass for 2 yards or so and the kid got away and scored?

Is this the just of what happened

I'm fully aware it was the end of the game fellas ( no Need to blast off on me)

YESSIR. And after the game only one "Man" shook the Bmt coaches hand. Talk about showing ur kids the right way to win or lose.
7. From a pure football perspective both teams played bad... West Brook looked flat and seriously lost at time.. Maybe the new surroundings was the main issue.. I know from being upstairs scouting for Rivals the communication system had a lot of bugs... The engineers were running all over pre game trying to work it out. Ozen was just over-matched at times on both sides of the ball. The sloppy play from both teams is what should be expected from a first game of the season. And what is up with the West Brook lack of kicking. I counted at least 9 maybe 12 points they left on the field when their drives stalled. They need to get that fixed or it is going to come back to bite them later.

On a side note does anyone know where I can get the individual stats on the players from this game? It will make my report to Rivals a lot easier. Looking forward to a great season.... Thanks
