i'm sure they havent under estimated Coldspring or Bryan Barbay.....will be a good gadge on where they stand, that's for sure.
as far as being in shape for 4 qtrs of ironman ball....I would imagine Coldspring will be playin both sides as well.

I can't believe nobody is talking about this game.....maybe it's too close to call????
I say k-ville's defence makes a real showing tonight....brick wall....I'm ready to see Ford get back in his grove and prove he can run on 3a just as well.

I enjoyed my time playing in Newton with Barbay and I know he has given a lot to not only Newton but to the state...you will be missed.....I only ask one thing Curtis...[u]BEAT Daingerfield[/u] before you leave!!!!

They scored a TD and then successfully recovered an onside kick and scored again. Thats impressive enough, but they did it two more times for a total of 4 td's and 3 onside recoveries to take the lead with 24 seconds left. Then you wont believe what happens... just watch the video..

newton is where I went to school and I would have to say Anthony Beyrly
in Kville was Bubba Bean and Butch Hadnott.

Probably get to see a little of both in preseason, like last year. Hopfully we will have a good passing game also. :-\

Newton will be D1.....have to see if Dangerfield is still D2, maybe they won't meet up this year.

I say Kirbyville ;), but like the last few years with WOS, Arp, and Newton(always) it's gunna be a nailbitter!! ...a game that can't afford many mistakes on either side. IMO either can win.

I think so, it's been there as long as I can remember. Though I think it will on the lighter side since it's not for distict title anymore.

A little weight to go with that speed is good news...the cats went far last year on a very young team, I believe they'll match up great in 3A.
I wish Ford a great season. and yes he has a lot of eyes on him, lots of pressure for a young man, but he's not the only one on the field. He'll
have help with Irvine who imo is a great runner also.

I figured he would put on a few pounds this year to go with that speed. That's good to hear. Going to be a very tough schedule for a team who is probably the smallest 3A out there. We should have a great team, not just a "one man show"...lots of great players returning. I'm looking to see how they match up in preseason.....always lots of exciting action with WOS, Newton, and Jasper, now well
have a few more to add to our "tough game" list. Fred should be a beast this year...what does he weigh now about 200????

the kats will do just fine with Vidor...will be a good game with Ozan IMO. Should be great measuring stick to see how we do this year.
