Seems to me the Kountze fans and team have 2 choices!  One, you can continue to blame officials and whine about getting beat by a better Buna team and not win another game, or Two, get ready for next weeks game and try to win out and get in the playoffs!  Support the Lions and cheer them on, quit blaming the officials!

Buna - 6 Orangefield - 5  Good scrimmage and both teams played well.  Very few errors and pretty good hitting.  Fun scrimmage to watch.

Kountze is actually picked to win district this year

Anyone picking anybody to win this district besides Buna is crazy!  They lost 2 players and have 5 of their top six pitchers back including their #1 and district mvp.

6 all district players are back including 5 first teamers and they are only losing 2 starters from the team that went 4 rounds deep!  I will stick with Buna as the overwhelming favorites.

What in Buna's recent history with EC makes Buna think this will be a close game?

Bobcat 55 told me The game was 21-13 with about 8 minutes to go last year.  Sounds like they can play with them to me.

In 98 or 99 Buna beat East Chambers in Winnie.  EC had a good running back that played at the University of Houston.  Andy Evans was the coach and EC was running the spread.  Does anyone remember the backs name?

Lets just wait to the game is played and then everyone can talk their trash..:-) We will go down there play Buna and see what happens but until the game is over I dont think its fair to predict an outcome...Being in 2A baseball is a coin toss on which team shows up on that particular day, who knows if the Warren team that lost 16-1 to EC shows up or the team that beat Central 7-4 ...or on the other hand the Buna team that beat EC 10-2 or barely beat a weak Kountze team 3-2....anything can happen!!

Wow,  you tell no one to predict the score and talk trash, but 3 or 4 posts up you predicted a score.  The second thing, I don't think I would be calling Kountze weak when they are tied with you in district and you haven't played them yet.  3rd, the difference in your comparison is Buna won both their games and Warren didn't.

I hear Buna had 5 starters that are still in Basketball that did not play.  I also heard they started their # 5 pitcher and he gave up 5 runs in the first 3 innings.  Anyone know the truth?

Silsbee was in the same boat a few years ago going 0-10 in 4A and look who's talking smack now that their in 3A! If the shoe fits (Princess) wear it! HA HA HA!

:shock: WOW! How about those Cougars! Seems they always pull off a big one each year. I was shocked at the 47-6 score. I remember a couple years ago them coming down here to BC and beating us 8-2. Congrats Coogs.

BC does play schools in our own class and don't mind playing Nederland and Sulpher as mentioned above. Who exactly is on your non-district schedule. I see the only 4A schools you played were in the Brenham tournament. Could you imagine the win streak BC would have if they played only 2A schools before district!

Typical mlc. Arrogant fools when they win. Funny, the HF vs LCM game was a meaningless tournament game but when you play a warm up game vs BC you think you are the king of orange county.

The Bears do host the best 3A tournament around.

I saw BH struggle at the plate 2 games in a row against Schooling from Silsbee. They also struggled against the good pitching from Huffman. Not to take anything away from Schooling or the Huffman pitching staff, but what good pitchers has "The Hill" hit well against? BC is loaded with good pitching and I can't see them being able to hit well enough to win 2 games in the series!

Hard to argue against BC coach Billy Bryant. The sign of a great coach is taking teams to the playoffs. When you can take 2 different teams from 2 different schools(Buna in 1991 and BC last year) to the show in Austin, that's impressive. Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in.
