If the ball is pointed, Kountze has trouble with it. Kinda like Huntington.

Actually I expected a great comeback on that one. But your Harvard is part of the poison-Ivy League. Woodville is one of the few places that I really respect the fans as well as the team. Glad to be back in the same district. Looking forward to some good competition. I think it's in West Texas this year and SW La. next year. By the way we love that new stadium of yours.
-
You got that right. And Woodville is Near West Texas because it is west of the Neches.
-
thats correct....Newton and Woodville is covered on this site' date=' and the rest of the teams are covered on detxsports.com[/quote']
Well, if that's the case, I consider Newton Deep East Texas anyway, since we are the eastern-most district in the state. That's pretty deep. TV reception isn't too good here either.

The last game of the season. Hoping it'll be as far in the playoffs as the pasr two years. :?:

Liberty has had some bad luck in the first round over the Year's.
A good team makes its own luck. :cheers

I have to go with Hutto. Don't play leap-frog with a Hippo either. 8)

We basically cover from Huffman to the Louisiana border to the east and from the Sabine Pass-High Island area to the Jasper/Woodville area north.
That would mean 23-2A would be split, 2 in, the rest out.

Congrats on the win last year. What's the series record now? 3-1 Jasper?
Typical Jasper math. If you count Jasper's forfeit, it's 3-3. However, we look at it as Newton 3- Jasper 0. State championships that is. Can you imagine what the record would look like if the school sizes were the same? Anyway, I'm happy.

Yeah. Congrats on beating a team that lost thier star QB to the hurricane and whose backup had the flu. Ya'll weren't so hot when you lost your starting QB either.
But time will tell...
Sure glad your star QB was there when y'all played Newton. See ya again in a couple of months.

Sorry, didn"t mean to hurt your feelings. The food was great. 8)

Mine was Winnie when we were in the same district as EC. The other customers at Al-t's didn't care for us, but we had fun and good food. Started eating there many years ago during my duck hunting days.

There are so many good games this year. Here are a few of my favorite match-ups:
BH / WOS
BH / Wharton
BH / Bellvile
BH / Jasper
Dayton / WOS
Bridge City / WOS
Newton / WOS
Newton doesn't play WOS this year. And hasn't played them this century.

The Deweyville record in 24-2A last year is misleading. It shows Newton beating them 21-0. Actually that was the score after the 1st quarter when Dville forfeited the game. Good luck to the Bucs this year. We may meet again to see who's the best in Newton County.

No, just a lot of folks that know a great football program when they see it. And also a few of us that are lucky enough to live here.

I am not from Kville either, but I agree 100%. Jack Alvarez has been fielding some good teams.

Heavy on the hopefully

Looking forward to Newton against Jasper, since BC won't play us any more.
-
Dville's looking better each year, but personally I would like to get at EC again.
-
Please don't compare us to Jasper. Newton 3- Jasper 0. 8)

After playing Woodville in the play-offs the last two years, I would have to say that their program is getting better.

The first round of the playoffs should be interesting. District 23-AA.
