The problem is when Dove make his predictions, they usually come true ;)
I guess I will have to take a European vacation here pretty soon and see if there are any young men over there who would like to find better educational opportunities in Texas.  Perhaps a one percenter can find a way to forestall your predictions?
 2.
The problem is when Dove make his predictions, they usually come true ;)
I predict that it is going to rain some day. One of these days, the Yankess arent going to be very good. The Charlotte Bobcats are going to win a game. All of the above will prove just how omniscient I am.
 3. Nope- this is somebody who is NOT already in Silsbee (according to Badsanta)
 4. You mean you dont think I know about the player coming in because of his grandmother?
 5.
I guess blue dove can see into the future. Alot of people said the same thing about our '89 team. ;D :D :D We proved them dead wrong. Never say Never..Instead of hating, try congratulating.  8)
cbosha- Please do not encourage them to stop discrediting HJ basketball.  I think it works very much to the advantage of HJ and we should just let them continue to tell us how bleak the future is, that times are changing, yada yada yada.  It makes them feel relevant and enlightened and it makes them believe they are really " getting to us" etc etc etc.  This has been going on for some time and I am more than happy with the accomplishments of the team over that period.  So, if you do anything, find a way to make them spew more of that stuff.

All of you HJ supporters don't try and run this kids name in the street as if he will be 28 in high school. He will be able to play football and basketball with no problem. Also look for a few fresh faces in Silsbee next season! Sorry HJ, you will go 0-2 vs Silsbee.
I agree and feel HJ will go 0-2 in district. The winds of change about to happen ;D
No problem-  Went 0-2 in 2010-2011 but were in Huntsville.  What change are you talking about.  Ask AAW- he can tell you immediately what the Silsbee regular season winning advantage is
To me it sounds like you don't.
What is it (within his statement) that makes you believe he is being less than truthful?
 8. Yes- either the schedule theory does not apply or the difference in schedules was not nearly as large as previously portrayed even though the theory sounded impressive.
 9.
Lets please remain realistic bullets, no more than 8 pts.
Dove, what you are failing to factor into the equation are the schedules
 10.
Lazeek or PoppaBear, which kid was the 9th grader who wore #22? Long rangy kid....Will he be a varsity prospect?
He is at a stage similar to where Prudhomme was as a freshman
 11. I witnessed some of the LaVega class that you mention on the grounds after the teams had left the gym.  Those kids also are ahead on the "learning curve" and it will serve them well long after basketball is no longer a big part of their lives.
It's my understanding he will not be 19 before Sept. 1st.
If Elam is eligible, Silsbee is in good shape for next year!
True! And I think they will beat HJ twice in their district meetings. ;)
No doubt.  By at least 20 in both games
 13. I didnt look at the video so not sure if there is anything of substance to it or not.  I am wondering, though, if the young man's behavior in the rest of the game, might have impacted the decision to eject him?  I still believe that the taunting is ultimately counter productive.
 14. I  believe only two starting positions are what one could call locked at this point.

Will HJ be considered  a young team or veteran team?
HJ lost 7 Seniors, two starters and then 5 reserves who played limited minutes.  HJ will have SEVERAL, I repeat SEVERAL Sophomores on the Varsity team next year!!!  A few who may start.  Only two BIG minute players will come from Seniors next year.
OHHH MAN! This could put a major dent in the HJ program next year, though I still expect them to make playoffs
Impossible.  Likely to go 17-17.  Doesnt matter what LaVega returns because Yates will own the region.
 16. They probably wont make the playoffs unless they are extremely lucky.  Prudhomme and Persohn were the whole team. When you lose the only real basketball players you had and you keep on playing that soft schedule, it does not bode well for HJ.  They were totally dominated at Silsbee and got lucky at the end of the Silsbee game played at HJ.  The system has failed to develop players who can "shake and bake".  There isnt much good news at HJ.

They know they will never have a state title in hoops! By the way, Sleepy..I am certain the will trade all of those cheesy CO-district champ banners for just ONE of Ozen's trips to the final four at DRUM IN AUSTIN!!  ;) ;D ;D
THe older I get, the better I used to be.
 18. Nope- they like the challenge of doing something that requires much skill to do well
Yeah, but winning the region and going to state is a whole other ball of wax!  ;)...Its an Exclusive Club.... ;D ;D ;D
Don't get overly impressed with that statement.  Lots of people here have experienced those things.  After Tiger Woods won his first US Amateur, I don't think anyone was suggesting to him that he did not have the capability of joining subsequently more "exclusive" clubs.
tHATS GOLF, all you do is hit that little funny looking ball into a hole, tear up the grass, kill poor defenseless little bugs, and wage bets. 21. Well, I dont think you were ever worried about them being atop the district for consecutive years either.
 22. Coach Lee got coach of the year.  Isn't he the coach who was being criticized for his handling of his team in the first half of the season?

Regionals and State trips are the goals *unlike a certain 4-A school in Mid-County where winning district is their ultimate goal ::) ;D I guarantee there are many other schools wishing they could have had the run HJ had this year. Turn your pain into the momentum for next season's championship run. NOW! Just think what could have been if yall played a harder schedule? ** Now you know I could not leave "well enough alone."  :D ;D
BD3-The season is less than a week over and U start with that WEAK comment (started by an insinuation by DV  ::) ) to drag me into discussing 'Ultimate Goals'! Lord it's gonna be a long Spring/Summer.  ;D 8) TBH, I have no clue what Ned's Ultimate Goal may be. I would have to presume that Winning District is ONE of their team goals (as most teams probably have), but the Ultimate Goal would be the same as MOST teams (I would hope  ??? )? I'm sure every season provides different goals depending on the previous years success and returning players. I would guess that Ned's goals will be much higher next year than they were this year after losing so much. The same goes for Silsbee, HJ, Ozen, and Central. I would guess that Silsbee will probably have higher expectations than anyone considering all they are returning next year.
Sorry dawg, I assumed winning district was the ultimate goal for the mid-county fan base. Sorry!  ;D
Bluedove, you didn't actually think that they thought they could make a trip to state, did you? :o ;D ;D
You had better hope they never make a trip to state because if they do, you will be reminded incessantly in a less than subtle manner for a very long time.
