What time is this game tomorrow?

That was Lady Cat basketball today...total team effort. Huge win against a big 5A team in the Spring Lady Lions. Tough game tomorrow against Westbury Christian, but if we play together as a team and hit a few more shots we can pull off the upset. Go Lady Cats!!!

Orangefield Boy's win Cardinal Classic!!!

Man you can say that again about this district. If you don't bring your "A" game each night any team in this district can beat you!!! I wasn't at the game but that intentional foul sounds like a heat of the battle thing. I mean when you have two very good, competitive teams battling out like that, emotions take over sometimes. I'm sure the girl from Silsbee mean't nothing by it and I'm sure Brittany knew the same. As parents and fans when we see something like that happen it's just a reaction to stand and yell...and as a parent it's a reaction because it happen to your child. Same thing happen when Orangefield played Lumberton earlier in the year with two kids that know each other well and played together on an AAU team for years. It just happens sometimes. Sounds like it was handled well by both teams and fans.

Wow you Bridge City people kind of came down hard on my boy Smalley. Remember he's from over there now...lol. He would be the first to tell you that he's not ready for an AD job, but in my opinion he would make a great AD/HC and would work his tail off in doing so. So what if he's only 30 years old, he knows his stuff and the kids just seem to really respond to him. Now don't get me wrong, I hope it doesn't happen cause I'm a little selfish. We've become good friends and I want him to stay in that Orange and White for a long, long time, but if he had that opportunity to be a head coach in his home town and it happen...I would be the first one to shake his hand. He's a class act, super coach and I'm proud to call him my friend and a BOBCAT!!!

It's really getting old hearing how one team beat this team by this much. What? Get over it. The Orangefield/Vidor game is one example of that. If you've never seen Orangefield play then don't get on here and say we run up the score. We play in your face, deny the ball type defense and we play that way against everyone we play. We flat out get after people and our defense leads to our offense...and part of our defense is pressing people. If you think 78 to 11 is a blow out then I'm sorry. Our entire team played that game and our five bench players played just as much if not more than our five starters. Every girl scored and we didn't press the entire 2nd half...what do you want our kids to do...go into a stall offense!!! I'm not picking on Vidor, I'm just using them as an example. Maybe instead of griping about it on a message board, why don't you get your butt in a gym and get better. That's what our kids have done and still do to this day. Our kids practice hard, probably harder than anyone and have earned the right through hard work to play how they see fit.

I thought we pressed at the right time...remember we were short two girls last night so our depth wasn't there. Great game by both teams...I've seen Silsbee this year and knew what they would bring to the table. Very athletic and well coached. I was proud of our Lady Cats last night. Hats off to our coaching staff for having the girls ready to play. Each girl played their tail off but just fell short. It's been a long couple of days for them but they handled it well and got out there and played together like a team, very proud of you young ladies!!!

I agree, I wasn't trying to be ugly by my post. I was just wondering if that's who their win came against or if they beat someone else. I watched the Vidor girl's play in the Nederland tournament and they look like a totally different team. They still have a long way to go but she's definately heading them in the right direction. She has those girls running an offense and some set plays and they're doing some different things on defense as well. In the past, it always looked like they just showed up and played to get it over with, not this year. Good Luck Lady Pirates!!!

Did that win come in the Nederland tournament...if so that was Nederland's JV.

Champion I understand what your saying and I agree with some of your points, but when it seems to happen to your team every year then it gets old. Like I mentioned in another post, we had the kid last year that led the district in interceptions and he was no where to be found on the all district team. It just isn't right!!!

What if...nevermind. Like someone on here said in a private message to me...if your not from here or there your not going to get the time of day. I'll let yall feel in the here and there's!!!
