  2. but we cant really make a list because the game is always changing
  3. 1.Russel 2.Jordan 3. Magic/Bird 4.Kobe 5.Shaq
  4. Three way race for first next year. Ned will be young but Coach E is great and not to mention the talent level just keeps getting better. Ozen for the simple fact that they are Ozen. But IMO Central pulls out district those young players got a lot of experience under there belt and made a deep push in playoffs. I hope I'm wrong but will not be surprised if my Dogs pull it off again!
  5. WOW!!!! I would give anything to have gotten to play in the state tournament! If this story is true then this young man just passed up on his real senior trip that he'll never get another shot at.
  6. what is the point of a mercy rule? to show everyone that just because you are being outworked you get an easy way out? what kind of message does that send?
  7. Sitting back for the last 90 seconds WORKED! In case everyone forgot Nederland missed the three, so had Kelvin been boxed out we are looking at OT. If PNG had boxed Kelvin out and won the game then everyone would be praising the coach for a great job.
  8. A 35 second shot clock is a GREAT idea, and as far as working the shot clock i don't think it's to hard to flip a switch.
  9. IMO I agree with the grading system, but I also agree that FANS need to shut up for the most part. High school basketball is a fast pace organized chaos game, so the refs are NOT going to be perfect. Because your team loses doesn't mean blame the refs, it just means your team just got beat. Which is why for the most part the good teams adjust the way they play according to the calls the ref makes. So to sum it up enough with the crying and show some action by becoming a ref yourself (since we all seem to be better refs than the actual ref)!
  10. kelvin smith and chris cunningham. Watch out for Kelvin he's gets better everyday
  11. as long as we have that old coach with us I'm going to say we will lose every game.
  12. Dionte isn't even going to be the starting qb next season.
  13. well if you wanna give awards to the managers my vote goes to Josh Pillitere from nederland  ;D
  14. so kellybasketball i get to hear about how pam beat us by 38 all the time and how pam could hang with yates but i go and say that they cant even beat a 4th seed under .500 team... thanks but no i'm gonna remind them just like i've been reminded of our lose
  15. just gonna throw this one out there nederland did NOT luck out against ozen nederland IS better than ozen this year..... and i saw in another post a couple of days ago something about NED would be the easy way and how bh was going to end neds season but as everyone in the area learned NEDERLAND is a very good team
  16. I think seeing how Nederland hasn't won district in over 50 years, and Ozen has won it 11 years straight (has not lost district since becoming a school) I would say this game is pretty important.
  17. i haven't seen many hs bb games but out of the few i have seen i would have to say the best was png vs ned this year that went to double ot with a little bit of luck
  18. WOW just wow somehow we pulled that one off the refs were calling weak fouls the whole second half which got png back in the game but some how the three ball fell for us and kelvin smith had the play of the year for us with the steal and the foul..... for those fans who were leaving with about 30 seconds left how does that make you feel :) i told yall after the ozen game but some didnt listen but whatever their lose on an amazing game and thank you to all the fans who stayed and got involved in the overtimes it was a big factor in the win
  19. i was afraid that the press was going to say that nederland played a terrible game (which wasn't the case) but they got it right it was just Frank had an amazing game and beat us on his own congrats to Frank on the record
  20. 81-49 final decarlos frank had 46 points.... he could not miss he was 12 of 15 from 3land and a hand in the face for every shot... set a record and i've always been a hater on decarlos but after he just beat the team i'm all out for by himself i will finally admit he is an amazing player. p.s. all the "loyal" nederland bulldog fans that were there thank you for at least showing up but i'd love to thank you for leaving the team half way through a butt kicking the team really liked that... so bounce back dogs and fans and take it to png
  21. GOAT i'm a nederland bulldog and yes yall did beat us by 32 and i am not saying that memorial is not the best team in the area (because there is no question that yall are the best in the area) i am just saying after watching yall beat nederland and watching games in the ymbl it's not the same as what i saw from yates on ESPN and in person this yates team is very good and i think they would pick apart memorial which would result in negative attitudes from multiple players and yates would break away
  22. I personally think this would be a good game for the first 3 minutes. After that Yates would show why they are a top five team in the nation (not #21 in the state for 5-a). Yates has played some of the best teams, and some of the best tournaments in the nation for high school already this year and have yet to lose to anybody. So in the end i would say Yates wins easily by 60.
