    Yeah, Troy had great breakaway speed. That kickoff return for a TD against Livingston is a good example. IMO though, one play he should not have been used was in that two point conversion attempt to win the game against Ozen in 2000. Got stuffed at the line and Pirates lost the game and district championship by one point. Johnny Travis and Douglas Sims were both in the backfield and one of them should have gotten that carry, both bigger power backs.

    Rick Culbert was fast, so too was Bollinger. I think Haylon Leckelt belongs in that group as well.

    Been hearing that Galloway won't play Friday night. So likely will be rolling with QB2 who got some valuable playing time against CC. I don't look for the Pirates to put up as many points as some have been saying, but defense has been stout so far . Still need to focus on LCM and don't overlook the Bears.

    Hoping that QB2 getting some action against CC will help him get ready for LCM if Galloway is unavailable. Only scored 7 points in the second half and that was very late in the game.

    True, nothing is happening until FEMA decision is made concerning Oak Forest Elementary and Vidor Middle School. Both have been empty since Harvey flooded them and meanwhile, students are in portable buildings. A turf field would be great, but at this time and for the foreseeable future, no funding is available.
