I changed up some things on the site: Front page looks a bit different, as I moved the scoreboard and standings to the side of the page. There's now a statistics page, which has the stats of all of the players. The player profiles look MUCH better now. Before it was just their name, photo, and some jumbled stats from hockeydb, but now it looks like player cards: [Hidden Content] More is to come...

All I can say is.... WHAT A GREAT GAME! Everything was just wonderful! From the tailgate party, to the pre-game intro, the fights, goals, and then the salute to the crowd that the players did after the game. One thing I didn't like was the number of penalties, regardless of whose team it was. It disrupted the flow of the game WAY too much. I mean, there was one point that Pensacola had SIX guys in the box, and there were times in the game that we were playing 3 on 3 hockey. And also when there were so many penalties that there wasn't room on the scoreboard. The ref lost complete control of the game. But I can finally say it -- THE 'CATTERS ARE BACK! Oh, and how do they come up with us only having 3,075 in attendance? The arena seats nearly 8,000 and it was OVER half full. And it said in the paper this morning that over 3,000 had been sold. Was I just imagining all of the people lining up for tickets just before the game? I guess it makes up for all of those times that the attendance was padded before. Coop, were you there? You missed some great chili!

So I heard: [Hidden Content] See, we don't just complain when there's nothing. We give credit when there is something. 8)

For the tailgate party, we are planning on bringing hot dogs, chips, soda, chili, etc. Others are bringing chips and cookies and such. Oh, and the chili is made with good ground beef. I hate to sound picky, but I just can't stand ground beef from grocery stores. There's always something gross in it.... :x So we have our own meat grinder and we put nothing but beef brisket(without a lot of the fat, though) and it tastes FANTASTIC! Some of the best ground beef you'll ever have. And if not for the food, everybody come to the game to watch Southeast Texas' team!

I had been working on a new layout for the forum, and it's ready now! [Hidden Content] I've been working on a new design for the board. A little bit darker, and more of a rich, black, "oil" color since that suits the Wildcatters theme. Still a few things need to be changed, though. I'm still messing around with the exact shade of grayish-black and I'm also changing the banner up a bit. Some other teams' boards use game shots as the banner, and then rotate them every few days. I may even see if I can get the banner to change upon each page-view. Not sure about that, but I'll look into it. Let me know what you guys think!

Have a safe trip, and cheer our boys on! We'll be watching for you guys on the B2. I wish that I could make the trip, but we have family coming in from out of town for Saturday's game and we have to be here in Beaumont that morning. Go 'Catters!

The guys looked tired late in the game, and they took WAY too many penalties. But hey, they've been in Florida for 10 days and have been working out non-stop. They can't win 'em all. Here's to a safe flight home for the guys, and then kicking Pensacola's butt on Friday and Saturday! Oh, Pensacola is already 0-2 this season.

Wildcatters lost 5-2 tonight. But think of it this way....this is the first Wildcatters loss in 18 months. :?

2nd game of the series is tonight @ 6:30!
