1. What is it that puts a high school player into a college football program?  Is it coaching that he received while in his high school program or is it genetics?  Can a player with below average talent be coached up into a football scholarship or is it necessary for one to have superior genetics to succeed at the next level. Do perrenial playoff contenders have the benefit of superior talent or is it solid coaching that earns them their trip to the post season each year? It's a classic question of nature versus nurture.  I thought the discussion might help pass some time until next season.
2. Good post.  Sounds like the board at BH is totally anal retentive. I wasn't impressed with some of the coaching at BH during the few games that I watched but it sounds like the coach was kind of limited in what he could do.  The field over their is one example, because it was piss poor and the rest of the campus facilities looks like a small college.  If they wanted the coach to succeed they would have ponied up the cash for turf to enhance his program.  I don't think i would want to be the next ex coach at the school if I had to answer to the type of administration most of you guys are describing.

I guess that's why it's not a rivalry.  I would think dayton would have twice that many over the past several years.  Don't know about crosby. cool list.
4. The crosby crybabies are right.  A grievous error was made during superlative selection.  The head coaches messed up big time.  The entire Crosby team should have been first team all everything and the JV should have been represented on the 2nd team. Honorable mention should have atleast included half the freshman team. What were they thinking?  Crosby has been SO good for SO long, maybe they just forgot how deserving the cougars really are.

5. Crosby doesn't get the respect they think they deserve on this board because the majority of their fans that post here whine about not getting respect.  Crosby had a good year, but in all honesty, the dayton game was a fluke.  That's right, a fluke, i said it. What makes the fluke even more laughable is that the crosby fans on this board make it seem like that game was the freaking state championship.  Even a blind squirrel can find a nut sometimes. GCM is a new school and their fans understand that respect is earned over time. BH fans have a winning history that they are trying to bring back.  Garnering respect is a process, unfortunately, Crosby thinks that one lucky game entitles them to the adoration of an entire district...koo-koo.  If crosby had'nt been putting sorry teams on the field for the past decade, this probably wouldn't even be a conversation.  Congratulations to all the kids who are on the superlative list.  If any of you crosby fans are upset by getting no respect then field a winner for more than one season instead of crying about it.
