Speaking of whoopin's ya'll get ready for another one.
just hope sc stays in our district after this year. Not much talent at sc after 2013.
I don't think SC will realign to 5a next time. I hear they're supposed to be increasing the numbers by a 100 or so when they make 6a. Doesn't matter if Dayton freshmen can beat SC's right now. When they're seniors they'll still have 600+ more kids to choose from to make up for it. Not saying they won't win but I wouldn't look at the freshman class as a barometer.
well they beat crosby freshman by around 50 to. Would you use that as a barometer considering the size of dayton and crosby.
Newton is probably the best shot again. In the higher classifacations the dallas area and austin have been putting out the best teams. Katy is the one exception. I think dekaney was a one shot thing with trey williams. I would like to see a 4a or 5a team from setx do it but i dont see it happening. -

Dayton can now focus on making TD's this will be thier year ;)
---Unfortunately our new kicker will be just as good ! Maybe our coach will actually let him kick a field-goal in a game situation :)
dont count on it. Omar is a great kicker but i think they will have him playing offensive line. -
SC will score points with or without the pickup from CK. I think SC will have a hard time making a deep playoff run unless they can shore up their defense. In their 2 playoff games they gave up over 900 yds of offense including over 450 to vidor. I look for SC and crosby too compete for the district title but neither one has a good enough defense to go really deep in the playoffs.

There's no flexibility in the playcalling like there used to be. Stewart could adjust on the fly where Hancock uses what I call the novicane approach which is "give it time and it'll work". Crosby has three stud qbs coming through the pipeline too.
Stewart's run was impressive, but as far as Crosby is concerned nothing has changed. Like you said Hancock is 2-0 against the Cougars. If Crosby plans on beating Dayton in the near future their best chance will be this year, while they have Senior twins. We will be young but talented, with a much needed QB change. I understand that your angst for Dayton won't allow you to be objective, this probably wasn't worth saying.
I'm very objective. Unlike many I don't have any angst for Dayton. I admire the program and hope Crosby can have that type of sustained relevance. I have three sons and two nephews that will be coming through the program for the next 15 years. I'm just saying look at the talent levels both teams have had over the past decade and a half. Now look at the dispairity in the records. The talent is always close to equal but the determining factor has been coaching. Stewart is still the AD which is keeping it held together at the seams but the coaching advantage Dayton enjoyed is fading away. Dayton has young talent but Crosby has the same young talent, the difference is going to be qb play and the sheer size of the players at the skill positions. In three years the trenches are going to rival those of a good 5a team and all of our receivers will be in that 6'1"-6'3" range. They'll go 6'5" and 6'1" next year. Crosby is going to have a bunch of kids like Singleton and Merka who are going to be FBS prospects due to size alone. If SC stays 4a or the new 5a plus KP and Humble stay in the district, Dayton as well as Crosby and BH will be in a dogfight for the foreseeable future. No more playoff guarantees for the Broncos.
you say in 3 years crosby will be this unstoppable force. Didnt see it when our frshman teams played. I think dayton beat crosby by around 50.
I didn't say the kids that will be seniors in three years will be like that. I didn't say they would be unstoppable at all either. I said they are going to be kids that will be heavily recruited due to their size. I think the freshman qb broke his arm or leg early in the season and didn't play the rest of the year plus that was the 4th game with a completely new coaching staff and plays being ran with kids that had never heard that terminology. Just make sure you stop at Brookshire's and pick up some Boudreaux's Butt Paste before you make that ride down 90 next year 'cause Crosby's going to bust that %@$.
what was your prediction last year. I mean eventually if you keep predicting wins crosby is bound to win one. It worked for bh.
I though we would only lose one district game to SC. I didn't think Dayton was declining when we played them either though. This year I think they are and I'll still predict the one district loss to SC. I will have a son playing against Dayton at some level starting in August for the next 14 years and depending on what this last kid is it could be the next 18 years. I'll be predicting a lot of Crosby over Dayton wins in the future.
doesnt hurt to dream. Wish your kids the best. Mine will be playing to and it makes it that much more fun. -

All kidding aside they are very good athletes maybe just a little undersized.
Dayton is in decline though. Program is deteriorating under Hancock, Dayton's 17 year streak could be over.
i would point out a few facts but it might be hard for you to handle. Once again congrats to all the kids on the list.
I don't think there's much for you to point out that's not going to do with what Dayton has done in the past. Dayton had one quality win last year and that was against Crosby. Last half of the season the offense stagnated and the defense didn't really stop anybody all year except BH. I know you'll bring up the winning streak against Crosby but like I said 17 years of that was Stewart. Hancock is 2-0 but the luster is quickly fading. Program has lost discipline and creativity on the coaching side. Once people got the Crosby vs Dayton film y'all never scored more than 13 points on a playoff team. There may be a few fact I can relay that might be hard for you to handle. Good health in the Cougar Den next year 'cause Lady Luck left the building when the legend took his headset off.
first can you please point out crosbys quality wins. Second crosby almost missed the playoffs with that nail biter against that salty kingwood park. Poor crosby fan stick to what you know best. BASKETBAL!! Last but not least. Dayton had no quality wins they played 2 good teams and lost to both. I dont consider crosby a quality win. -
