Well I'm looking forward to tonight's game. A little sad though just brought my tickets and they have only sold 37 of the 500 Crosby sent.

Used to happen often. Had a great athlete move from Humble to Dayton in 08 that helped Dayton get to the finals. Also some nice athletes from Crosby came to Dayton. To your point though it has not been very common for a while.

Dayton beat Crosby at home in 2012. 45-21. The last 3 years have been really close games. Last year was the biggest margin of victory for Crosby and it was 10 pts. Year before that was an OT loss and I believe a 6 pt loss in 2013. Gamal Fowler took a kick off to the house at Crosby in 2011 to put the game away. Hope Dayton can get up for this game Friday and pull off the upset.

Head coach at Groveton was a coach at Dayton several years back and has them putting up some crazy numbers through the air. Congrats coach Craus. Going to check them out come playoff time hear their QB is legit.

5 years prior to Jerry Stewart taking over the Dayton program Dayton had gone 9-41. Well I really don't need to tell the rest of the story. His playoff streak started in his first year and I believe his teams had 10 district championships. There's a really good article on Chron.com about when he first arrived here. It's a great read and tells you a lot about the kind of coach he was. Dekari Pearson was a freshman who was extremely talented but didn't like to practice. Stewart kicked him off the team and he had to work his way back on the team. Pearson ended up playing for the UT and from all I have heard is a great guy. That all started with a life lesson his freshman year. I guess what I'm saying is coaches can have an immediate impact. [Hidden Content]

I sure hope so Red Dawn. I know Crosby at home and Dayton on a 3 game skid itdoesn't look promising but being a rivalry will hopefully make it a great game.

I have never seen a team on our field line up after the game and run sprints pulling a sled. Maybe on your own field but not something I have seen on a Dayton field in the 150+ home games I have attended. Just my opinion. To your point though it may be something they always do I just don't usually stick around 15 minutes after the game and missed it in the past.

For all but a fortunate few on this Dayton team I think last nights loss put in perspective that they only have 3 football games left. Like I told my kid high school football is a very small part of your life but the memories of the friends you have made and played with stick with you. It was tough seeing high school boys cry last night but in life you definitely are not always going to be on the winning side. I would say to them enjoy the last 3 games play hard because once it's over it's over and after this year your life adventure begins. Once again congrats to Porter. PS. Players running sprints on our field pulling a sled after the game was a little disrespectful but I know it was a big win.

I think we might have had more than 10 penalties to. Most penalties I have seen in a Dayton game in a long time.

Tried him tonight. Point is you score 42 and you should win the game. Wrong people in the game in the secondary and took getting beat 3 times deep for td before a change was made. Kids played hard and maybe getting a win against Crosby will make their year.
