1. Lamar's Head Soccer coach Dewi Hardman is showing me his hard efforts in recruiting are beginning to pay off by signing a top level soccer player in Angie Guillory. I have had the priviledge of watching Angie play and she is a star amongst stars on a loaded 93 team. There are players on that team that are verbally committed to  Rice, University of Texas, University of Kansas and the University of Houston to name a few.  And to say that our home town Lamar just snagged one of their elite players is saying something to me where the Cardinal Women's soccer program is headed. Quite frankly I still cannot  believe it!!!!!! Great Job Dewi!
2.
That is amazing.. 50 goals in one season is no easy task.. What are her plans after high school.. any college offers known so far? also.. on the 106 goals in a season by the girl from El Paso.. WOW!! I hope they won state, because if i scored 106 goals in a season and we ever lost i would be extremely dissapointed with my team.. thats averages out to about 4 goals per game or so..
All I know is she is one of the hardest workers I know. First to practice, Last to leave. As most high school age players may miss a practice here or there.( club practice... noone misses high school practice) She is always there. I do not mean to hurt any coaches feelings but I would have like to to seen her join her current team 5 years ago. You just cannot beat Div1 Comp. for development.... Case in point look at Claire Dykman, Yasmine Afshar, Madeline Horning. They are as good as they are because they have been groomed in DIV1 since they were 10yrs. old.(U11).. She would really be on fire. But she is getting there and she is still hungry.  She will play soccer somewhere for sure.
3. Vicious!!!!!! Sweetest thing you'll ever want to meet off the field. But when the whistle blows The fangs and claws come out! That's all I've got to say bout that. Rip's daughter says: Fun to be around makes great decisions and helps the team at all cost. Fun to play with and would not trade her for anyone else. She's very fierce and never afraid of a collision. =)
4. I agree with the blatant injurious play, but I do not know about the gentleman part. I have been watching alot of GolTV lately and have been surprised by all the shirt pulling, two arm waist wrapping, flagrant forearms and shoves in the back from professional world class futbol-lers without even a nod from the refrees.. Locally we have always taught clean play, but when we leave this area and play in Houston and Dallas we seemed to be out physicalled quite a bit and now I know where they get their examples from. Again I do agree the offenders should not walk scot free, but I believe these guys do there best to keep it clean... At least most do.
5. 50 goals is 50 goals! No matter how you slice it. Awesome Chloe!!!!!!! Can I get your autograph?
6. .25-06, say it with me class, let it roll of your tongue .25-00006! Ok that was stupid, but I am still posting it. :D
7. I just wanted to hear peoples opinions on the marlin or any other .17hmr. Any good or bad stories. Scope prefences below the typical 200 + leupolds. Good bang for the buck. I bought a Marlin 917vs the other day and have not put a scope on it yet. Someone told me about the BSA sweet .17
8.
Chloe Chiasson for PNG has 29 goals for the season so far, PNG just played their third district game this past week.
Go ahead Ms. Chiasson!
9. Well put Watash! Even in the lose I left the field content knowing our teamed battled the entire 100 minutes. To answer Froggers question, Stephanie has been a select player for awhile but this was her first year to commit to the goalie position. She played lights out all season!
10.
How is the playoff run shaping up for Kelly?  Who are the teams top teams that they will have to go thru?
We play District 1 (North TX) 5th seed( Dallas Bishop Lynch) Saturday, Then we would play District 2 (Austin, San Antonio) #1 Seed San Antonio Antonian ( made it to the final 4 last year), from there we would face The Winner of Ft. Worth Nolan or Austin St. Michael's and if we were so fortunate to make it past the Semi's We would face the All Powerful Dallas Ursuline. When the girls were freshman two years ago we took a similar route and meet Ursuline in the semi's. 4-0 Ursuline by half-time then the put in the reserves and still held us scoreless. They were eventual State Champs. They have at least 22 or 23 State titles and 19 in a row. They always have several girls who are top notch, the real deal, top of the line Div1 NCAA college prospects on their roster..They have two 2009 Graduates making contributions starting as freshman at UT and Stanford. The one at Stanford is the only FRESHMAN to start every game this year and played in the Final 4 tournament this past December in College Station. They currently have a senior  who is a member of the US U18 National Pool, The Gatorade player of the year for Texas and committed to Yale in the Fall. Last year we played Nolan and they romped up 8-0. I would be content reaching the semi's again, we just do not have enough fire power to over come the best Dallas has to offer. I have been recruiting heavily but I cannot get my friends to start paying to come to Kelly. Believe me I am trying!
11. I know a girl who has 24.  (17) In District! Of course she started playing in November ;D
12. The injured players name is Lauren Zeto, someone may know her family and have more current information, but as of this morning her coach said her X-rays were negative and she  had an MRI late yesterday evening. She was just waiting to hear from Lauren. Hopefully she will be back in a week to 10days. We need her for this playoff run!
13.
WB JV v Lumberton 3-0 at half, 5-1 Final WB Varsity v Lumberton 3-0 at half, 4-0 Final
Who scored the goals for WB? Just curious.
14. NO DOUBT it was GREAT to see Natalie on the field tonight against Kelly! Natalie was our leading scorer in Div 1 club play before the injury. She is Special ;)
15. I was expecting more from Watash on this game. Well here it goes folks. It was a WAR :o. Clean but a WAR all the same. It was GREAT to see Natalie Hagar back on the field, big ups to Natalie ;), You know I am a Kelly fan, but I could not help myself from applauding Natalie when she made some of her signature moves to get by our defenders. Several times she and Chloe put me on the edge of my seat. Chloe was a beast and if it wasn't for some great goalie play from Chelsea Reid and defensive play from Teilor Long and last weeks MVP Allysa Henke this could have easily been a victory for the Lady Indians. I know sitting in the Kelly section all the parents were very uncomfortable and was wondering why we had all had birthdays since we arrived but the clock only said we played 40mins in the 2nd half. Some one said the clock was rigged because it was moving SSSSLLLLOOOWWWWWW! Great effort from both teams! Look out to everyone in the Indians district they are tuned up! I will be at the game next week against Nederland!
16. Kelly could be missing a big part of their defense. Madeline Horning is a game time decision. Nothing too serious but may be held out to rest a nagging injury for big playoff game Saturday. Could tilt the scales a bit.
17. Kelly girls travel to the Reservation to face the Lady Indians Tuesday night! Come out and support Indian fans, Kelly fans or people that just want to see a good girls soccer game! :o
18. Big Props to Henke, who did an awesome job on a Premier level player Sonia Sanchez!
19. Kelly wrapped up their District play and I will leave it to Watash to give y'all the details! ;D
20.

.25-06 is a great round for all around hunting.   Plenty of range and will knockdown anything you are going to see here in Texas.
Really??   I've never shot one but I hadn't heard much good about it.  Just heard it was a fast flat shooting gun.   Would it be a good youth gun?
Wow all this Beautiful .25-06 Glory. Short Story: My Grandfather was an astute and avid deer hunter who ran into some bad luck. Some heathen wiped out his entire gun collection. He replaced All of a dozen or more of those stolen rifles with One bull barrelled Ruger M77 in .25-06.  When I got it I was a little disappointed it was not a more popular .270. Now several deer later, I am a Happy camper and realize the old guy knew what he was doing. So much so I bought my nephew one.
21.
i just started hunting this year for the 1st time in 15 years, and i used a TC 25-06.  i didn't take any shots at game this year, but i love the way the gun shoots.
Hear, Hear for the .25-06! ;D
22.
Out of curiosity, of the many calibers available, is any of them really any better than the others at typical whitetail distances? Can a .308, .260, .270, .280, .264, , 25-06, 30-06, 7mm (the several available), 8mm, etc., do a better job than any of the others? I can see maybe a 300 Win Mag being better at extended ranges like maybe 600 yards but even that is debatable. I can understand the fairly light weight rounds like the 22-250, .223 and .204 maybe not having a lot of energy at say 200 yards. I see people make statements like, well if I decided to kill a bull moose in Montana then I wouldn't have to buy a new gun if I had a 300 Win Mag. That may be true but unless that is something on the immediate horizon on someone's agenda, is it simply wishful thinking or an attempt to justify something in someone's mind? I guess I could go buy a Ford 3500 pickup on the assumption that maybe someday I may decide to start my own construction company and may need such a vehicle. I love guns and think if someone wants a gun, who cares why? Buy five of each for all I care. Back to the original question, in the typical deer hunting scenario of usually 100 yards or less but almost certainly not over 200 yards, does it really matter?
No Not Really, just personal prefernce. That's why I like breaking out the ol' 30/30 from time to time. It's just the mood I am in that day.
