I wish, but not likely.  I wouldn't mind sitting in the stands, watching HS Football, in a pouring rain storm.

Nash,  Silsbee CANNOT win the district title next year.  The best they can do is 2nd place.  Did you forget that HF has the district title locked up already?

Good Luck.  A&M seems to be the stepping stone to the next level.  Let's hope they can bring another up and comer in and keep A&M on the basketball map.  beat tu!

I like the chatter.  Someone new entering the race.  Silsbee, HJ, and mix in a little WOS from time to time is what this district has been about. Now a serious question, when was the last time HF won a district title in Boys Basketball?  Little Doves could make history if all the hype is true.  Anyone have an idea when, and if, HF took home the district hardware?

if enrollment is down, where are they going?  surely they are not going into Beaumont for the high quality education.  are people moving further out or just out of the area all together?

I'm a little surprised that with the amount of talent that HF has in the stables, more people did not apply.

heck of a game. to rally from 16 down and take a 1 point lead.  great season..

time??
sounds like they are throwing up on themselves..
ie Mexia, about the time i post it, they score..
Abe- I think you are exactly right.  I think many tend to get over enamored with individual talent and not sufficiently enamored with a teams ability to function as a team.  If I remember all of the talk on her in the last couple of days correctly, Nederland also had "no way" to stay with Humble.  Again, I think the skepticism works to Nederlands advantage.  Many also assume that if a team is from or near the "big city" then nobody can compete with them.  I guess we will find out soon and I have high hopes for Nederland to prove the naysayers wrong.
i will admit i was one of those that predicted defeat for Nederland.  Not trying to be negative, but didn't think they could pull it off.  I feel the same way this week, i just don't think they have enough to pull it off.  It would be great to see it Nederland pull off the upset and take a bite of crow.
West Sour Lake?
the town formerly known as Cleveland.

they may be able to pick up the head coach from West Sour Lake.  he could be looking for a job..

i assume we are waiting for the OFFICIAL word or does someone want to go ahead and throw it out there..I would assume any OFFICIAL word related to this topic wouldn't be made until the end of the school season.  Last i checked this wasn't the NCAA, NBA or any other professional organization.
Sutherland could coach Vidor to a 4A titl
Did you see Lazeek's post?? I hear Sutherland is going to Silsbee to replace their coach.  I guess Silsbee wants that state title in basketball real bad..

Lazeek, it appears i gave you way too much credit.  SARCASM.  Silsbee's brass would be idiots to cut the coach.  i was thinking i would get bites from BS, AAW or other Silsbee supporters, but not one of my own.  I over valued YOUR HJ education.. ;D

Gee, Who could that be??? i will go out on a limb and guess it is the Silsbee coach that is let go.  That is the obvious choice , right??? my second guess is that West Sour Lake will be looking for a coach.

Hardin Jefferson is living proof ;)
I am not sure if this comment is a stab at HJ or a compliment? :D :D
Come on Zeek, it's a true statement.  You, of all people, would have to admit that HJ has had better talent and not made it to state.  The most recent trip the state wasn't the best or most talented team, but they played together and Coach S got the most out of his talent. West Sour Lake has tons of talent, but lack discipline.  How many titles do you think West Sour Lake would have if Coach S coached them????
