Can't help but hope for the best for my Wildcats. I like what I've heard so far from coach Doughty. Like I said I look for Kirbyville to be a sleeper.
-
Kirbyville will be young but I think will make more noise than people think. I agree with the 4 playoff teams and woodville winning district but 2nd, 3rd and 4th place will be a toss up.
-
Think it's all one gamers too I could be wrong
-
It'll all be in round rock I believe
-
headed to the bottom of the third it's tied 1-1
-
Brown with an rbi groundout to second! Games tied at 1 a piece!
-
Tyler Brown at the dish!
-
Runners on 2nd and 3rd after a 1 put double by Joseph Fentress!!!
-
Runner on first 1 out for the Wildcats! Joseph Fentress at the plate!
-
1-0 maypearl heading into top of 3. Time to get the bats rolling here cats! 9,1,2 hitters due up for the Wildcats to start out the top of the 3rd for the Wildcats!

Well your gonna have to trust me. Lol
I hope we are not losing all 3 baseball coaches on top of the hit we've taken in football too that would be a disaster

Really? Who's the source of this information?

I heard that Jones was one of the few coaches staying.
Hope you are right

That's sad to let him walk. Wish we could've held on to him.

We have a great defensive coordinator in Craig Jones on the staff he would be wise to keep him in my opinion.
-
I guess the good news is it's been 17 years since he's went winless and 4 years since he's had a losing season. I feel as long as we can have a strength and conditioning program here he will do well. The superintendent will have two kids in high school next year one being a senior. There is bound to be something about him he likes. I think he will do ok here in Kirbyville. Either way I'm rooting for him and my Wildcats!

But I'm 100% behind him and ready for him and his staff to get going. Let's really work hard this summer so they will be ready to compete. On a side note I'm afraid to say that your average wildcat fan will not take losing and growing pains very well. Expect lots of boo birds to come out if the program struggles early.
Yeah early struggle will make life tough for Doughty. I'm on board and I hope for the best! We can't change what's already happened all we can do is support the guy because he is now a wildcat! And I don't know about y'all but I have Wildcat pride!

I hope we are in for a surprise with Todd Doughty. I'm gonna give him a chance and we all should (after all we don't have a choice). I'm hoping he gets something going this offseason and has our boys ready to play and compete for a district title by next season. With our talent there is no excuse why we shouldn't be. Best of luck to Coach Doughty! Go Wildcats!!!

I was under the impression that Stricklan maybe backed out. Just learned that is not true. He was never offered either. Board was only offered 1 option. I have talked to the board and no 6 or 8 people did not make this decision.. only 1 did
Why did they vote unanimously then?

I predict Craig Jones will be the next head baseball coach at WO-S.
