Throwing deep without short to mid-range passes is not a passing offense.
Penalties, poor tackling, etc.
Just shows how much athleticism this team has but can't buy in at all.
It's pure numbers so far.
8,9,10 in the box. Can't run on it and daring him to throw and when he does it's rushed.
I'd say throw some short crossing and out routes but I'm not sure it's possible.
It's been frustrating to watch the plow ahead mentality at times. I'll remain vigilant.
Conditioning is a factor for sure...
Its the first game and playing both ways the whole game against a team that requires your best athletes to stay on the field reveals the gaps between 100% conditioned and 90% conditioned.
It will always be a concern when dealing with athletes....
I find it hard to believe that Silsbee is the only team that has leg cramps. It wont be a concern going forward, never is in my opinion.
Its actually been a pretty good game. I thought the penalty was a little excessive that early but whatever.
Indians are effective with their short passing game and Silsbee has not worked against a passing team. That with the inexperience in our secondary has helped the PNG QB Bost to move the chains.
Tigers are doing better than I expected but I expect that to improve over the season. Some adjustments needed to fill some key injuries on Tigers defense but I like what I see.
Second half will tell how quick this Tiger team can improve. Need to stop the mistakes regardless.
